yeah i was thinking about that too.. immigration is kind of clumsy and they have so much work to do that i surprised that they have time to come ans visit to check if were leaving in the same house.. i was thinking also that maybe because of me and my husbands' age gap that they are getting suspicious about it.
-
yeah it was weird.. i wasnt home so i didn't see or talk to them at all.. i just dont know if they will come back after that because me and my husband work almost everyday and were never home. but my mom said that they didnt ask to come inside and look at the house at all, they just asked if me and my husband were home and asked my mom who she is.. thats all. im starting to worry now coz dont they usually visit those couples that they think are fake?
I wouldn't worry too much. Yes, it is unusual, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were also random. It also could be something that USCIS is attempting to do to improve its utilization of resources. Did your mother describe what they were wearing (as in uniforms)? Who exactly did they say they were? As in Agency.
hmm she said the girl was wearing a skirt and the guys were wearing normal clothes.. im thinking that maybe they arent aware that im approved already or maybe its a different department..i dont know i dont want to worry that they may cancel my GC.
-
But after i received this email, today the immigration people came to my house to look for me and my husband.. it was strange because if they already approved my GC, why would they come to our house and check up on us? is this a random pick to visit or should i worry?? im starting to worry..

i received an email from uscis that my card has been ordered but today the immigration people came to our house to look for me and my husband but were both at work so my mom was the one who talked to them, isnt it kinda weird for them to check up on us when they approved us already?

what does it mean when i received a extension letter? and it says on the letter that "if you have not already done so, provide supporting documents to assist USCIS in processing your petition and to establish eligibility to remove the conditional basis of your permanent residence. please include a copy of this receipt notice with any supporting documents you submit. such evidence may include, but is not limited to, the following items:
lease of joint tenancy
joint mortgage agreement
tax returns
birth certificate of any children
joint policies of life, medical and car insurance?
what does this mean?? i already submitted almost all of it... i dont know if i should send it again? please help me thanks a lot

Copies of some paycheck stubs showing the same address?
Some junk mail with your address on it?
Christmas Cards?
The white card the conditional green card came on?
You can download an Advanced Directive and have each other fill them out, name the other as decision maker in emergencies where you are incapacitated, and have them notarized.
Joint insurances....health, life, auto?
Any retirement where the other is the beneficiary?
yeah what is advance directive?? we only have health insurance together, i cant even put my husband's name on our car insurance because the rate that we have to pay will be double the amount and right now we dont even have that much money so we have to save up...

copy of our stimulus checks

copy of our health insurance
copy of our credit card together
copy of our kaiser card
copy of our mariage certificate

** this are all i have because of my husband's bankruptcy problem.. i couldnt add him in our car insurance and car loan because they wont approve of it** please let me know if these are ok...
A cover letter with Dear Sirs: Re your full name and A# application for I-751.
Please find enclosed a check for application fee amount and biometrics amount for the total amount of $xxx.xx and the enclosed evidence listing your evidence.
List.
These are financially hard times for many of us, but a very brief description like, my husband was laid off, we purchased a home or whatever, had to file bankruptcy, we had moved in with my parents, I did find a job to help so can only submit one tax return. My husband and I are deeply in love and committed to work through these hard times with the help of my parents, we had to put off having a baby, etc.
Don't get emotional, keep it short and direct, be honest and keep the total letter on one single page. These letters are difficult to craft, but that way they will know what's going on and won't have questions.
But it's up to you.
The list is quite reasonable. A few more photos won't hurt. Also, try to make sure you've covered all of the last two years (ie all tax returns together not just most recent, utility bills from every couple of months since you've been here etc etc)I back up "more pictures".
Pictures are still worth a thousand words!
I would also add copies of both your driver's licenses or State ID cards showing both of you at the same address. For your tax returns, I suggest sending tax transcripts from the IRS.
the prob is that we changed our address thru online and we didnt renew our driver's liscence with the new address...

yeah.. but the prob is that we live with my parents so the utility bill was under their name at first and we just recently added my name and my husband's name on it so i wont be able to provide bills since we got married.. i dont know if that will be ok or not.. we only have one tax return coz i didnt start working until jan 2007 because we got maried on july 2006 didnt get my social till january.. so we only have one income tax return..

i have another question...when we filed our documents for CPR we included an affidavit of support from my brother in-law bec my husband have bankruptcy problem, so now that i will be filing my I-751 do i need to include the car title that includes my name and my brother in-law's because he was my co-signer that time i didnt have enough credit to buy a car and i cant include my husband's name because of that too.. i just think that will be an evidence that he helped us..
-
If you feel that your documents might be inadequate, then explain your situation in the cover letter. Assuming your job provides enough income for the two of you to live, you should not have a problem. Have everything prepared and file as soon as possible. Your husband's bankruptcy is just a bump in the road of life. You will both get through this.
so u think i should show my paystub at my job? or they will be able to see it on our tax return that both of us our earning enough money to survive? i dont know im just so confused because i feel like we dont have as much evidence as the other people here have mentioned...
-
Gee, can't you just ask the USCIS if they have any proof than your marriage was just to get you enter into the country or that you are not living together?
huh what>?
-
do yo have any bills or anything that are just in your spouse's name and some just in your name.?? even if they aren't joint they would show that you live at the same address..
umm the cable and celphone bill is under my name.. our celphone bill before was under his name but we changed contract from another cellphone company so he wants to put it under my name.. i recently added my name and my husband's name on our electric bill which my parents name are on there too.. i think its kinda late because were submitting our documents on october..
do you have any memberships or anything? Netflix, gym etc....
no we dont have any membership at all.. we barely have time to go out because were always working and saving money...

i will get an affidavit from my brother in-law.. now i have another question.. as for the utility bills, i live with my parents and we share rent in the house.. the electric bill and phone bill are under my mom's name not mine. the only thing under my name is our cellphone and cable which has only my name on it. i just feel worried because they might request for more evidence which i think i wouldnt have...
You said "I live with my parents" and not "we live with my parents". In another post you said "he works in San Jose and he's there all the time". Where does he stay?
In your first post you said that you are submitting an apartment lease. Is it under your and your husband's name?
sorry what i meant to say is that "we live with my parents" and he is on the apartment lease also.. my husband forgot to change the address on his pay stubs so his w2 has his old address where my in-laws live. do you think that will be a problem? i already told him to change it..

Since you have a car, does your title have both your names on it?
Health insurance?
Affidavits can always serve as good (extra) evidence.
Pay slips for both of you at the same address perhaps?
Correspondence addressed to both of you?
Incidentally, assuming he's the US citizen, how was he able to get through the Affidavit of Support (AOS) phase (the I864 when first applying for residency) to sponsor you? Assuming that if he got a co-sponsor, you could always get a letter from his co-sponsors as evidence of the financial situation.
we do have health insurance from my job and he's my beneficiary coz his job doesnt provide any kind of benefits.. i think on our first application, my brother in-law sponsored us financially, now that im working i think were gonna be okay because im currently working 2 jobs.. and our bills like cable and cellphone it's only under my name bcoz they said that they couldn't include his name coz they can only put one name on the bill.. on his paychecks i guess he forgot to change the address coz he works close to his old house where he use to live with his sister so he didnt change it would that be a problem? but our tax return were all mailed to our house and all that..
-
thank you so much..
yeah im planning to get affidavit from my sister in law and brother in law, my brother in-law co-sign for me to get the loan for the car since my husband has bad credit.
i forgot i do have health insurance that my husband is my beneficiary because his job doesn't give him any benefits at all..
i have another problem, since my husband work in san jose and he's there all the time does it matter on the address on his w-2 was still his old address i guess he forgot to change it and im kinda worried about it too..
we cant apply for any IRA accounts or anything at this time because of our income, we barely travel because we work all the time.. were trying to save money so i could go back to school and study nursing.. i dont know im just worried...

i have a problem.. i will be filing my I-751 on october but i feel like i dont have enough evidence because my husband have a bankruptcy problem and so we dont have that mucH documents to file because we cant even get a loan under his name , alot of credit card wont approve him for anything. and if i put his name on my car insurance we have to pay double and we cant afford it right now. i got a good loan for my car because im working in a bank now but they wont allow his name to be in my account because he's on the chex systems. only one bank allowed him to open an account but that bank is far from our house. as of now we have:
income tax return
apartment lease
picutres
a letter from pg&e that were responsible for payments
one credit card with my husband being secondary user
joint accounts
copy of my alien card
marriage certificate
copies of our refund checks from the IRS
cellphone bill with my name on it (with the same address )
i think thats all we have... im really worried about it i wonder if i should send them the papers that my husband has a bankruptcy problem and thats why we only have few documents to show.. help please thank you so much!
weird question but i need help
