  1. My mother filled out the forms for her brother and his family. We recently submitted all the documents for their family and NVC tells us that everything is complete and we are just waiting for embassy to call them for the interview. Now he just became a father of his 2nd child. Does anyone know what paper to submit to include the 2nd child as well?? I don't really know the process for it. Please help

  2. I am still confused with this whole process. I thought we would send i864 first, then send DS230. NVC sent me a checklist that we are missing DS230. I can have the applicant start working on DS230 so we can mail that in but does he have to obtain police report now as part of the civil document or does he try to obtain police report later when consulate calls him for the interview

    Please help!!!!!!!!!

  3. My mother has applied for her brother. she is also the agent.

I am the household member and i have submitted 864a. they sent a checklist back saying that I need to submit 864 also (why?). they also want proof of my citizenship, which i can mail them.

They also ask for DS230. DS230 should be completed by the applicant right? and they also need to gather the civil documents. do i gather that information and send them back along with another 864? I tried to call NVC a lot but can't seem to get thru. if you guys can please tell me the correct order, i would really appreciate it. Thanks

  4. wow that's great news. I thought it's more of a 6 years waiting.Thank you for the reply. My mom will be here in Dec and we will file petition for my little sister. Hope she'll be here before she turns 21.

i have the question regarding kid over 21. you said he is waiting for the interview? so does it mean it would take about 4 years for kids over 21 when GC holder applies for them?

  5. One of my cousin does not qualify because of his age. My mother had applied for her sister via I130. Now we are in the middle of paying AOS fees and his name does not show up because of his age. But this cousin of mine is dependent on his parents. Do you know if they would grant him visa? what is the process, who should we contact? NVC or let the consulate know when they contact for interview etc? please help!

  6. Yes, you can be his agent. Also do not put DUBAI...it will be more delay..just live as it is ISLAMABAD.

It will take about 1 year for him to get an interview date US embassey in ISLAMABAD.

Thanks for the reply. i can put myself as an agent then. also he has a different address in pakistan and we need to correct that anyway. should i enter the new address for pakistan or his current dubai address. i don't want to hide anything from them so we don't run into any issues in the future

  7. Hi

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can answer these questions for me:

My mother submitted I 130 for her brother in nov 2001. We just got a letter to pay $88 AOS fees. also notify if his address has been changed. also notify if we want to list an agent/attorney, who will get the paperwork for the case

    1. I want to know can I submit my name to be an agent so I can get all the paperwork and see if they need something. I am basically the nephew.

    2. My uncle has been living and working in Dubai for the last few years. Should we mention his new address in Dubai or continue to deal with the consulate in Islamabad?

    3. any idea how long it will take from now on to get him in the US?

    Thanks so much

  8. My wife wanted to fill out the I130 application for her siblings but one of her friends is now telling her that you can't do that anymore. the only option is to apply for parents, once they become citizen, they would be able to apply for their children. is that something new?

Are we still able to go through I130 for siblings immigration? if its still the case, is it usually taking people about 12 to 14 years to get here? any information would be very much appreciated

  9. I was recently told by a family friend that now if you have submitted I130 for your brother/sister, there is no longer an age limit for unmarried children that comes with them. I believe the limit was 21 for unmarried children. is it true?

Also he said that they have increased the visa number from 60,000 to 90,000. is it true?

Please help. we have submitted the papers in November, 01 and are just waiting. I also don't understand why the processing time says 2007 yet we have not gotten any response recently from embassy.
