  1. I have a question, we're just now getting ready all our documents to send out for Removing of Conditions for my husband but I have question if anyone out there can help us, when we're sending our bank statements (showing both of our names) and credit cards statements and cell phone bills do we HAVE to include 3 MONTHS of the statements or can we just do the last month statements??

    Please help us, Thank you!

  2. the answer is that married couples should work it all out together as a team, if he relies on you to do the paperwork then he should do the housewife, you know what I mean.....

I (the usc) took the responsibility to do all the paperwork because he doesn't speak English and doesn't know anything what to do here :( but I DON'T mind doing it, I actually am happy to do it because I feel more secure if I do it, I know how to do it..... and he on the other hand, to help me out, he does chores around the house, laundry, dishes, cleaning, bathrooms, taking garbage out, I mean EVERYTHING, which is great and I feel we are doing things equally :)

I hope everything works out with you two also, just sit down one day and talk it all out (but first tell each other that you're just talking and NOT pointing fingers or blaming anyone)...

    and God bless your marriage!

P.S. You have to understand him too, maybe they never had SO MUCH responsibility in their country as we do here in the US, he never learned to be THAT responsible and remember thing.

  3. you need to get married within 90 days of your arrival to the US, and you can file for AOS right after you get married..... because you will need to send in with AOS the proof of your marriage (marriage certificate/license)

Once you are married you will need to get the Official Certified Marriage certificate and then you will send that certificate with your AOS and then you are good to go...... and of course you will NEED to file AOS BEFORE your visa expires (before your 90 day runs out)

    Hope this helps!

  4. Hi VJ memers

I received a letter (for my husband) from USCIS for an Interview on Sep 15th (for AOS) and its says there that if you don't speak English to bring an interpeter with you..... well my husband doesn't speak English but I do speak English fluently and I was wondering can I just come along with him and interpeter for him?? or do we have to get an interpeter seperately for him?? and what kind of interpeter can we get? can my sister come and interpeter??

    Please Help, I'm worried :(

  5. YAY  I just want to share the good news with you, today I've received email from CRIS saying:

"Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

    Current Status: Card production ordered.

On July 9, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register."

We are really happy :dance::dance: and can't wait till we receive EAD card in the mail.

Good Luck to everyone to is still waiting!!!

  6. I just filed our AOS also so this is what you can do:

    1. Where it asks for my last name, can I put my new married last name?

yes you can put your new last name (do you have a proof that you changed it?) its ok you can still put your new last name.

    2. Where is my A# located? it should be on your EAD stamp or white card that they gave at POE to the US. (at least thats where my husband's was

    3. I don't have a SSN number yet, is that okay? its ok you can get it when you get the new EAD card for 2 years

    4. Where it asks me for my previous employment, do I write my jobs in Canada since I haven't worked since I can't work yet? yea put your previous employment in Canada and the dates to worked till and then unemployed for right now.

    hope this helps :/

  7. if you prepared the papers and you filled out the application then you MUST sign the papers also where its says "signature of person preparing the form" and also your wife would HAVE to sign it too.....

trust me on this, I did the same thing and they send it back to me stating that be both must sign it if I prepared the application for my husband.

its not only for professionals to sign, its for everyone who prepared the application, who filled it out.... if your grandma would do it then she would have to sign it.... but the applicant ALWAYS needs to sign it to agree that everything on that application is true!

  8. it is NOT required but I would really reccomend USC spouse to go with their foreign spouse to the interview, it will help alot. I speak from my own experience, I (USC) went with my foreign spouse to the interview and I am SO GLAD that I went, they didn't ask ANY questions to my foreign spouse, I was the biggest proof that we're together and intend to marry, the whole interview went VERY smooth..... now that of course varies on the consulate office and the case, but I would say that make every effort to go with your foreign spouse to the interview, it will help them being less strestful and easy things up for you both.

any questions feel free to ask me! :star:

  9. yeah everyone has his own fight and case ....

its sad tht some CO have personal problems ..and some countries have problems at US consulates ...but i hope most of us can consider my idea of getting the USC t attend the Interview ...i believe the red flags can be cleared better by the USC (LPR through previous marriage or big age gap or other red flags ) at least it leave the sick CO no way to say NO ...if all documents are presented and clear ..and answers are convincing and identical everywhere .

yes I agree with you no_where_man, I wish EVERYONE (USC) can make it to their foreign spouse's interviews, I'm SO GLAD I went with my husband, we had NO QUESTIONS asked AT ALL  just sign the papers and done!

of course it was ALL GOD's will, but the idea that I was there too, HELPED alot too!!!!

I'll be praying for you all there!

  10. oh one more thing I forgot to add Audrey, is that since 9/11 there are MORE security check than EVER before. They are checking everyone these very hard because ALOT of people are using fraud reasons for visa to enter the US at least ONCE and then they stay here. And of course immigration officers are NOT checking every single house to see if they are legal here in US or not, so the illegals live here like everyone else and its NOT fair to the legal immigrants that had to go thru all the paperwork and expense to enter the US legally.

so try to understand their point of view also, put yourself in their shoes and if you would see illegals come to the US every day then you would be HARSH like those officers too

  11. wow Audrey so sorry to hear what happened to you and that you had to go thru all that

I just want to tell you that you shouldn't worry about being banned because they would've given you something to sign otherwise he doesn't have any proof that he told you you were banned  .

You were checked that way (detailed) randomly, I'm sure you didn't look suspicious, it was a bad day for them and they picked you to get out everything on you and practice their power. They had no right to treat you that way unless you had something suspicious.

  12. sorry if this is not the right forum, but I have a question if anyone out there can help us.. please.

so we got married within 90 days, but we never filed or applied for Social Security and now my "new" husband's EAD expires on May 6th, today May 5th we are ready to apply for AOS, is there any way we can apply for social security after we apply for AOS?? or now?? I really want to add him to my bank acct, and my house loan, and etc. but we don't have SSN :(

can anyone help us what should we do now? how can we get him a Driver's license??

    thank you,

    Tatyan & Vitalik

  13. Wow congradtulations to both of you :dance:

Let us know if we can help you with anything :) wait till you receive your NVC letter and then you can download the packet and start working on it. You can tell Vova to go get his Police clearafication already cause that takes a little longer to get than the rest of the paperwork in Packet 3 :)

Good Luck for the rest of the Journey and God Bless!!!!!

  14. YES YES YES and don't give up, this wait I'm sure 99% of people that going thru K-1 proccess HAVE second thoughts at some point  unfortunatelly, but you should look at possitive side too..... if you're going to make it thru the whole process and work it out with your Fiance then you guys have true love and are meant for each other.

I speak from my own experiecne, I was in fight with my Fiance and had second thoughts for about 3 months and within those 3 months we really talked and got to know each other's expectations and now I'm so happy we went thru that because since then we LOVE each other even MORE!!!! (L):D:) now he knows what I'm expecting from him and I know what he especting from me. You have to think about that you both were born and raised in a different world, different families and so thus you have conflicts and misunderstandings...... but the MOST important thing in this situation is TALK TALK TALK and tell him what you want and ask him what he is expecting of you :)

Best of Luck to you both, and its all about the wait that makes the HARDEST in this proccess :(

  15. Hi all my VJ family :)

I have a question for you, I'm (USC) getting all the paperwork ready now for the upcoming interview and with God's help I hope we will pass and be on our way to US :D

But then I was wondering if you can help me, is there a requirement on which POE I have to use?

Someone told me that first time arrivals have to go thru JFK? is that true?

I live in Portland OR and so I would really want to have just straight flight from Amsterdam to Portland instead of 2 stops you know.

Please help me and let me know if there is requirements or better POE to use.

    Thank You!!!!

  16. you know my papers left NVC on 12/12/2008 too to Ukraine but I haven't called yet to the embassy, I don't really expect them to be there so soon, and even if they are there it might not be in their system yet.

Plus I don't think you can make an appt untill your foreign fiance receives Packet 3.

Let me know if you get hold of them and get the info on your file cause then I will check on my petition too if it got there!

and I will let you know if I hear anything about mine!
