  1. I sent several things to prove I met my fiancee. She is from Colombia, but we flew to Peru to meet. We went to see Machu Picchu, so I had photos of us together with the ruins in the backdrop. I had flight tickets for her and for myself. I had stamped passport information for both of us. The only thing I did not send was copies of emails and MSN conversations to prove ongoing relations. Should I package up some and send them, or will they ask me for additional proof if needed? Thanks!

If needed, they will ask for more.We didnt have any copies of emails or conversations. We sent pics, hotel statements, flight statements and everything was fine.Good luck!

  2. At least you know you're just crossing your fingers for that interview date!!!!! It seems K-1'ers fly through USCIS and NVC and wait long for an interview, but CR1/K3'ers wait WAY too long for USCIS/NVC and within 2-3 months we have an interview? Wish it would all be the same wait time....that would be nice!

They probably give you that automated response so you'll stop asking, but I'm guessing you should at least get an interview before then! Look at some other people's timelines and see what their wait time was, hopefully it gives you some hope! :)

Very true..I looked at other timelines beforehand..That was the only email Ive ever sent asking about it.Oh well..no worries..I reckon lol.Have a great day!

  3. Thailand also appears to be at a standstill as people who returned Packet 3 over two months ago are still waiting. However, recently people were getting interviews scheduled within two weeks of returning the forms. I am a believer in Karma, so we'll just make the best of this wait.

Amen! Im calm now lol..we will make the best of it (if I gotta) lol.Good luck!!

  4. My own wait is about the same...

sucks - it flew through USCIS and NVC.

There seems to be a long wait in CA and the UK (rest of 'western' countries are more normal).

Ironically we sucked going through USCIS, but got the interview 4 weeks after NOA2.

Wow,wtg there! I got a little too excited I guess.

  5. You can try to change it by filling out the change of address form and/or calling the USCIS but I will tell you that more often than not, the change doesn't happen...even if they say it does/will.

Your best bet is going to be using an address of someone who is gonig to be at the same place throughout the process. Chances are you will need to stay on top of this the entire time.

I can tell you from experiance that this is great advise. I used the on line, paper document, phone calls & even two Info Pass meetings & it still got screwed up.

The day of the final Info Pass meeting I was told " dont worry we are sure this will straighten this all out now". " This has all been because you didnt do everything correctly & we couldnt mail you the documents". " It will take about 60 to 90 days to re-send everything".

The following day we recieved all the documents we had waited all those months for & at the address they said they didnt have.

 I did the online change of address at USCIS and it went just fine. They sent me a letter confirming it.Good luck!!
