That was a lot faster than I expected!!

Congrats to everybody who has received their EAD card!!!!

I just called USCIS to change my name on my greencard. Cause I wanted to do that during my interview but now that our case has been transferred to California we don't really know if we are going to have an interview!

I forgot all about how frustrating it is to call USCIS and how there are people who have no clue what's going on

but after explaining everything to her 3 times, she finally but in a service request number to change my name in the card!

I have a quick question!

I wanted to do the name change during my interview cause I read that most people did it that way. But now that our case has been transferred to the California Service Center and I might not even have an interview, I was wondering how to do it.

Should I just call and tell them? Or wait?

got an email from CRIS today... our file was forwarded to the California Service Center.

Does anybody know what that exactly means?

Do we have to wait even longer now??

went in for my biometrics today! Everything went fast and easy...

and of course I got the whole.. please allow 90 days to get your card in the mail!

We forgot all about the 90 days remembered how many times we have heard that before I actually had my visa in hand!

But it also made us laugh. I'm still amazed at how much easier the wait can be when you are with your loved one!!!

Hey guys!!

I got my Biometrics letter yesterday I was right, the mailman couldn't get in and there is actually a little note on the envelope saying exactly that dated on 5-28-09!!!!

I'm glad I realized what was going on with our front door!!!!

My appointment is next Tuesday

Oh no... I just found out tonight that someone broke of their key in our door and therefore our mailman hasn't been able to get in. Maybe my biometrics letter would have already been here by now

I feel like all the craziness is starting again and I seriously had my hopes up that it would go a little bit more smooth... i guess not.

I still haven't gotten the Biometrics appointment. Looking at your guys timelines it seems as if it normally doesn't take that long!

our check was cashed yesterday! Now we are waiting for our NOAs.

It is so much easier to wait when you are together with your loved one

We are in too!!!

Send our package out on May 12th and it got delivered on May 14th!

Now we are waiting for them to cash our check and send us the NOA!!!

I just wanted to report that I got my visa in the mail today!!!

It was issued on Monday and now it's finally in my hands!!! I am soooo excited and still can't really believe it. It was such a long journey...

I'll be flying out on Sunday and I can't wait. I'm nervous about the sealed envelope and don't even dare to touch it

I will be praying for all of you still...

especially the ones still waiting for their NOA2!!!!

I just got back from my interview and everything went well. It was really easy just as everyone else already reported! The people at the embassy in Frankfurt are super nice and very helpful!

It was a little busy so it took me about 2hrs until everything was over. Now I'm just so glad and I'm still having a hard time believing it!!!

They said that I should get my visa within next week so I will risk it and go ahead to book my flight for the 8th! Thanks to all of you guys for your support. I'll continue to stop back in and see how all of you are doing and then we'll see eachother in the AOS thread!

My interview is tomorrow and I'm so freaking nervous that I don't even really know what to do with myself!!!!

I know that there is no reason that they are not going to give me the visa. But I'm pretty sure that the ones that have been to the interview know what I'm talking about.

I checked my things I don't even know how many times. and yes, everything is still there. I had my medical yesterday and they said they would call.... no calls! So I guess everything is ok. But I think this constant waiting... never knowing what is going to happen, having other people deciding what your future will look like just makes me be a little thin skinned these days!

I'll tell you guys how it went....

I'll have my interview tomorrow and I'm starting to look at flights.

How long should the layover be in order for me to have enough time to go through the whole customs thing?

Any experiences? And what happens if it'll take longer than expected and I'd miss my flight?

CONGRATS!!!! That is so exciting !!!! How did the whole flight and everything go? Was the whole custom thing easy?

I had my medical today and I was nervous but I think everything will be alright. Now I'm thinking that I should have gone earlier so it would have been over with. If I'm lucky they'll get the results tomorrow or Friday and send them to the embassy on Friday. So they should receive it shortly after or even during my interview.

I really hope that I can fly out on March 8th. And I'm still wondering if I should just book my flight but I think I'll wait and see what happens on Friday. The closer the day comes the more nervous I get

Oana.... is there anything else you can do? Any other places you could call to make em hurry up? I'm still praying for you and I just hope that God will really come through in that situation!!!

I'm actually heading down towards Frankfurt tomorrow. I'm staying with a friend who will also come with me to the interview......well at least wait for me in front of the embassy

My interview appointment is next Friday and I was wondering if I need my fiance's tax returns as well as our co sponsor's?

Or is a bank statement and a letter from their employer enough?

I guess now that I've heard so many good reports about the US embassy in Frankfurt I should really start believing that it's not that big of a deal!

Did they ask you anything about if you want the visa sent to you or pick it up in person? I'm just wondering cause I need to fly out ASAP cause our wedding date is 3 weeks after the interview. Or did you feel like it's not an option and I couldn't even ask them about it?

Have some wonderful last weeks and keep me updated about the rest of the journey. This forum is a really great place and I'm glad to be able to talk to people who are in the same situation!!!

No I'll actually have my medical in exactly a week. I'm at my parents at the moment.... up north. And I'll drive down to Frankfurt next Tuesday!
