  1. Diani0626 Did you have to pay anything at the Embassy for the delivery of you visa? or Were you told by the Consular Officer to go somewhere inside the Embassy to pay for it?

Nope no payments in the embassy. And no payments at DHL nor CSC but it is because I'm picking it up in a DHL office, if you are asking for a delivery at some particular place, you have to ask for that service in the CSC site "Purchase premium delivery service" and there you have to pay

  2. Oh! wow! that's some great news! Did you have to register your email address somewhere in order to get this " DHL tracking number by email"? or just by registering in the CSC site was enough? Was the tracking number sent to the petitioner or the beneficiary's email?

Thanks for clarifying about the first number.

Wifey is at the Doctor as I write this post!

Just by registering in the CSC site and sent to the email you gave them in the registration ;)

Congrats for the medical examination, she is ready ready, good good luck! ;)

  3. I'm still in the process of sending the AOS and IV packages to the NVC. I asked before about when my wife should take her medical examination. I wanted to ask a following question.

    1) Can she get her medical examination done as soon as possible, for example, next couple of weeks?

    2) Can she just give the medical examination facility the NVC case number and/or email letters from the NVC with the case number?

    3) Or does she have to wait for an official interview letter from the NVC?

We just would like to get things done asap in case of any problems that may delay her getting the medical exam.

mmm...I would say wait because they ask when is your interview and ask for the letter from NVC, so I would say wait, plus usually they give you plenty of time to do it, so as soon as you get your date of interview you can make your medical examinations right away like I did, I had them ready one month before...But...there is always the possibility depends of the country I guess, so you can check this website:

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3739.html

Then pick your embassy and there is all the information about medical examination, you can call the place and ask your questions ;)

  4. Medical Exam Tomorrow!! :D

    Yayy!!! Good luck with everything!!!!

Best wishes to all having the interview next 30th

GoingCrazy 2012 I got an email today, they gave me a tracking number and they said visa will be ready in one or two days to pick it up

With that number I can check at DHL website and CSC website as well, that's the number we want ;) The first number it's just a number ofregistration and doesn't mean anything ;)

  5. Thanks for the clarification. Just out of curiosity: Is the website they gave you to sign up and make delivery arrangements the following one?

    http://colombia.usvisa-info.com

or is it a DHL website??

Just wanted to make sure because I went into this website and register my wife's passport and somewhere in there it gave me the option to choose a DHL location which I did.

    This is the link:

    https://usvisa-info.com/es-CO/selfservice/login

    I guess it's the same site ;)

  6. Excellent Review and thank you very much!! As soon as I saw your post I called my wife (in Colombia LOL!) and told her about your visa approval. This may sound strange but we were so happy for you without even knowing you! LOL! ... But things don't end just there, my wife and I will be doing a "practice interview" tonight and I will share with her your experience this morning so she knows what to expect.

Thanks again. God Bless your way home and get ready for the very last lap: POE!! Wooohoo!!! Congratulations again!!

Side Question: Did the consul say to come back in 2 weeks to pick up your passport?? (Literally like that?). I'm asking because once interview is over we won't have a chance to go back to the Embassy to pick up anything because my wife lives in Barranquilla. Or do you mean they gave you instructions on how to arrange for the delivery of your passport??

Oops!!! I forgot some words hehe...Consul gave me a paper with instructions on how to arrange for the delivery of my passport or...pick it up at DHL, they give you a website to sign up and make the arrangement.

Thank you all for being happy for me and I'm happy for you all too. I'm sure the last two of may will be just fine, it's more the anxiety and nervousness than what it really is...

    I still....can't believe it!!!! hahaha

Thanks for all the info during the process and thanks for the support, it means a lot! Gave us hope and faith! Good luck for everybody and best wishes...

GoingCrazy2012 everything will be perfect for you guys, really really! Advice: staying there at six helps A LOT! Makes you more confident and sure you are doing the right thing and of course going to the line 3 from the beginning, other than that, piece of cake!!! hahaha

  7. So, my interview was at 8 am but I was there at 6 and went direct to the line 3 where there was nobody but me, at 6:15 people at the embassy began to work organizing lines and checking the letter from NVC and letting us to enter into the building, I was actually the first first getting into the place...

Then a girl (Colombian) told me to wait in the "office" number 6 (but it doesn't matter which one, green numbers are for immigrants, blue are the other type of visas, the color in the number is huge so is easy to see where you will be all the time.

Ok, at 7 am they begin to work inside of the embassy so at 7 o'clock I was talking with the girl (Colombian) She asked for what NVC said:

    - Medical examinations (Enveloped)

    - 2 Pictures 5x5 with the complete name on them (advice: use the right pen and do it before the interview)

    - RECENT police certificate

    - Passport

    - Letter from NVC

She asked what was the longest stay in US (if any) and what dates. Verified email, phone numbers, names, parents names.

After checking all my documents and papers sent by NVC she organized everything and gave me back some of them they didn't need...She sent me to seat (best place to stay: behind "Cafe Iguana")

It was really hard to understand when consuls where calling so that part was difficult...I waited just like 20 minutes when a lady (consul) called me to number 3 (green window) and she asked same question what was the longest stay in US (if any) and how I did meet my husband. She asked if I was married before and then she said your visa is APPROVED!!! (Very nice lady!).

Then she gave me a paper with instructions of how to pick the passport up in two weeks.

And...that was it...still don't believe it!!! My husband yelled, said many things like crazy by phone, but I was quite, I'm still in shock hahahahaha

Ohh!!! I forgot to say!!! I brought like thousands of pictures and papers and it was just difficult to carry, so the less the better but being smart and just bringing few of them. They didn't ask for anything, they had all the papers, but still I would bring copies of everything (just in case)

    http://usvisa-info.com/es-CO/selfservice/ss_country_welcome

    :help:
