  1. We also didn't have the same. All the bills, tax returns and the house was under my husband's name. So what we did was photocopied all invoices of stuff I and my husband ordered online (including my magazine subscription) that were sent to our house to prove that we are living together.

We also included the copies of the form that showed me as dependent for his health insurance and our health cards.

We just explained it to the IO during the interview and it was ok :)

    Hope this helps :)

  2. I just wanted to share our interview experience last October 14, 2009, 1:15 pm.

We arrived at the interview office at exactly 1:15 because we had a hard time looking for a parking space. It took us 5 mins to finish the security check and was able to put my interview appointment in the tray at 120pm. Though we're late, we were called at 145 pm. There were a few couples and families at the waiting area at that time.

Our IO was very nice and friendly, made us feel at ease at the duration of the interview.

We sat down but he asked us to stand again to swear to tell the truth.

We were asked for IDs so we gave my husband's driver's license and I gave our passports as well. He also asked for the AP and EAD cards. He then continued by asking the yes/no questions in the application form. He askedif I have my husband's G325A because he said he didn't have it. I said I don't have a copy and that submitted it during the petition application. He asked again if it's not in my folder (he saw my huge file). I said no, I was planning to print it but I didn't (silly me).

And so we moved on ...

    The documents he asked were:

(have copies of the original so they don't have to photocopy it; your IO will appreciate it)

    1. marriage certificate - i gave him a copy after showing the original

    2. divorce agreement

    3. proof of living together - we gave our health insurance copies, sea world membership, phone bills (with just our numbers and explained that it didn't have my name on it), invoices of items ordered by me and my husband online (since we don't have bills with any of my name on it)

    4. photos

    5. bound scrapbook from our trips prior to getting married (he liked it a lot; he said he hasn't seen something like it before)

    Questions he asked:

    1. how did we meet

    2. when did we first meet

    3. how many times we've seen each other before the marriage

    4. was it my first marriage and asked my husband the same

    5. he also asked what my job was before and where do i plan to work here

    6. he also asked my husband where he works

    7. asked if we have any children

He then said that he'll check with his supervisor if it'll be ok that my husband didn't have his G325A. He said everything seems ok, though.

After a few minutes, he came back and explained to us about the conditional status and filled out the approval form and asked us to sign. He took the AP and gave me back the EAD because he said it has expiration date on it.

We thanked him and shook his hand afterwards. We were finished at 230pm.

Good luck to those who will have their interview soon. My advice is to make sure you have a copy of everything that you submitted and read all the interview experiences here. It'll help you a lot :)

Finally, it's over (at least for two years) It was a pleasant experience not only because the IO was nice but because we made sure that we have all the necessary documents. And I got all the tips from reading all the interview experiences of everyone here at VJ. So, THANKS A LOT TO ALL THOSE WHO SHARED THEIR EXPERIENCES. It helped me cover all the bases (except for the G325A of my husband hehehe, never read anything here that asked for the G325A during the interview).

  3. Hi!

My fiancee sent me his ITR for 2007 via email. It was sent to him by the Financial Group that prepared his ITR. It didn't have his signature because it was e-filed. Will that be fine?

Should I submit all the forms he sent me (it's 35 pages, including schedules, Form 8917, 8582, 8879, 540NR, 3801, 3805V and a lot more) during the interview?

Also we did not declare assets in the Affidavit of Support because his income is sufficient already, the ITR contains properties that he currently have. Will that be a problem?

I am not familiar with these forms so I do not know what I should be submit to the Embassy. So I will really appreciate your help.

    Thanks for the help :)

  4. Hi everyone, I just received my NOA #2 stating that my I129 for my fiancee has been approved and they are going to fwd the case to NVC. How long does it take? Is there anymore paper works that I have to do after they fwd to overseas embassy? The problem is Im leaving to Indonesia to be with my fiancee and stay there until he gets his interview. Will this a problem if I stay with him until he gets his interview? I was thinking to get the paperwork sign at first and have my family member send it when the INS needs it. We applied through California Service center

    Here is our timeline

    10/27-sent the I129F package

    10/31-received NOA #1

1/9- I129F approved through email notification

    1/14-received NOA#2 hardcopy through mail

    what now? any input?

Thanks a lot... this forum has helped me tremendously... I cant thank you enough to all of u....

    Hi!

Ours took two weeks before we received Packet 3 from the US Embassy in Jakarta.

    Here's the timeline:

    NOA2 approval = Dec 8

    NVC left = Dec 15

    Packet 3 received = Dec 22

    Hope this helps.

  5. We are at the almost done stage, my wife has received the instruction letter from the Singapore embassy, as well as all of the other forms. Everything looks readily attainable, with the exception of one document: her police clearance documents. She's been in Singapore for almost 3 years, but they are asking for documents which pertain to the Philippines and her life, spent there. Will she have to go to the Philippines? Will the Philippine embassy in Singapore be able to provide the information that we need?

Any info and/or advice regarding the this stage of the process is appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Dave

Hi! I applied my police clearance/NBI from the Philippine embassy in Singapore. You may ask your wife to go there and proceed to the first window to inquire on how to apply. Make sure she has a picture. Then they will give her a form to sign and will get her fingerprints.

She should send these forms to NBI in the Phils. I sent mine to my sister and wrote an acknowledgment letter for her to get the Police Clearance from the NBI office in Manila.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Hi,

My fiance and I are preparing the documents for the Affidavit of Support and I have a few questions. Appreciate any help anyone can give me.

    1. For the payslips or paystubs, do we need to show original documents or would copies be fine?

    2. For personal properties, insurance and bonds declared, what proofs do we need to attach?

    3. For bank statements, how many months do we need to present?

Thank you so much for your help.

    :)

Copies will be fine. If income alone is sufficient, you may simply leave blank all references to assets. If you need to use assets to cover a shortfall in income, show whatever official documents you have available to document them. Bank statements are not what is asked for when a bank letter is mentioned. Follow the instructions exactly if the bank will do it. Again, no asset documentation is needed if you have enough income.

Thank you for your reply. In that case would 55000 annual income and 10000 bank savings be sufficient?

I thought the requirement meant bank statements as stated in Packet 3. We'll just check the bank for the bank letter then.

    7.

Notarized Affidavit of Support (Form I-134 fiance(e) visa applicants) from the petitioner or other qualified sponsor along with supporting evidence:

One (1) year of US income tax returns 1040 & W-2 (copies or faxes are acceptable)

Bank statements and proof of assets

Letter of employment or job offer

    Thanks again pushbrk!

What are you quoting? Again, you don't need to show assets or a bank letter with $55k income unless you have a household of about 30 people.

Great! Thanks so much. I quoted the requirements from Packet 3 that the embassy sent us :)

  9. So it means, I do not have to get any police clearance here in Bintan :)

    Thank you very much!

    Police Records

Available for both Indonesian and Non Indonesian citizens as follow:

    * For Indonesians: Applicants that have lived in any one city in Indonesia for six months or longer, should obtain a Police Certificate (Certificate of Good Conduct) for each city from the City Police (POLDA) of that jurisdiction or from the Police Headquarters (MABES POLRI, Jalan Trunojoyo No.3, Kebayoran Baru) which covers all the districts in Indonesia.

Applications for the Certificate of Good Conduct must be accompanied by the following documents:

    * Copy of all passport pages (old and current passport).

    * Letter from Kelurahan (Head of District) and Letter from Kecamatan (Sub Region)

    * Four recent color photographs with red background (40cm x 60cm).

    * Marriage certificate (if applicable).

    * Copy of Birth Certificate, KTP (Indonesian Identification Card) and KK (Family Card).

    * Fingerprints (to be taken at the time the application is submitted).

Applicants should apply in person. Processing time for the certificate is approximately one week from the date of submission.

Note: The quality of Police Clearance information depends on the area and office from which it comes. Records kept at the Police Headquarters are generally reliable. Police Certificates from Police Stations outside the capital city are not reliable and need to be carefully examined.

    * For Non-Indonesians: Applicants that have lived in Indonesia for more than one continuous year at anytime should obtain a Police Certificate from Police Headquarters at MABES POLRI only.

Applicants should apply in person at:

    MABES POLRI

    Jalan Trunojoyo No.3

    Kebayoran Baru

    Jakarta Selatan

Applications for the Certificate of Good Conduct must be accompanied by the following documents:

    * Copy of all passport pages (old and current passport).

    * Four recent color photographs with red background (40cm x 60 cm).

    * Copy of KIMS/KITAS (Temporary Stay Permit).

    * Copy of letter from current employer while hiring in Indonesia stating dates of employment.

    * Fingerprints (to be taken at the time the application is submitted).

The processing time for the certificate is approximately one week from the date of submission.

  10. Happy New Year everyone!

We have already received our Packet 3 (yey!!) and I am now scheduled to go to Jakarta for my medical and application of police certificate at MABES POLRI.

My question is, do I need to get a police certificate from where I am staying now (Bintan Island) before I can get a certificate from MABES POLRI? I am non-Indonesian and have been working here in Bintan, Inodnesia for more than a year now.

Also, are there special preparations that I need to do for my medical next week?

Thank you very much for all your :help: .

    :)

  14. hi all!

after 6 months, i got a touch and an rfe!

i don't know if i should be sad about it but at least i knew that they are working on our case.

i just wonder what could it be? we are yet to receive the hard copy.

how long does it usually take to get the letter from them?

    waiting...waiting...waiting...

Shouldn't take too long. We got ours on a Wednesday and we had the letter the following Tuesday, although it seemed an age at the time... It only took a couple of days to put together though and is now back on it's way to CSC... Hopefully they'll get started on it soon! Good luck!

Thanks a lot! Good luck to you too! At least things seem to be moving now :)

  15. I am in similar situation. To apply for the NBI clearance, you may go to the Phil Embassy in Singapore and tell them that you are applying for an NBI clearance. The person in charge at Window 1 will assist you with the requirements. Just make sure you have a picture with you. They're very helpful :)

You will then need to send back your forms to the Phils and ask a representative to file it for you to the NBI office (I have yet to submit mine so I don't know how long it will take).

    Hope this helps.

    HELLO TO ALL VJ MEMBERS!!!

I am a OFW's, new to this VJ site, as far as we knew we can get some important information from here.

I have something to ask, did any one has had experienced to take the NBI or POLICE CLEARANCE while working abroad? Where to take it, is it at the Phil. Embassy abroad in where you presently working, or need to request the form to the Phil NBI office? Can anyone share their experiences and opinion here, please... I may need it when time comes to apply for K1 visa. And also, do I need to take two (2) clearances, one from the country I worked in and the other is from Phil. Please share ideas and thanks in advance.[/

  16. Hi! I am working in Bintan, Indonesia but have put Singapore to be the consulate for visa interview as it is nearer than the one in Jakarta. Since I am from the Philippines, if i will be interviewed in Singapore, do I still need to to submit NBI from the Philippines or should the police cearance from PI be enough?
