Hello my friends,
Our journey ended today. My wife's green card was approved after the interview this afternoon in Greer, SC. We are very happy!! This is an almost 10 years journey since my wife came to this country as a student that ends today. She never fall out of status. She got her undergrad, master and now on a second master ... We fall in love 8 years ago ... I got my citizenship and now we will stay forever in the country we love so much!
The interview was quick and fast. To be honest the only question was for how long we have been married (3 years so no conditional here). That's all. We have a son together and the little one was there. I guess that was good enough for the immigration officer. He was an adorable old man. Very kind, human and actually we discussed the economy ... as he said .. "I have to kill sometime here'' ....
That's it. Immigration now only 3 years from today. I would like to thank all here and wish you best of everything.

VincentMarietta, yes I got this notice too and from what I read here it is a standard notice. If you have never been arrested or anything, you shouldn't worry about it.

- when you received your notice for the AOS interview, did you also received a white piece of paper "Notice to the Applicant" .. if you ever been arrested or detained, bla, bla, bla ..? Are some parts of this notice (if you received) underlined? I received one and I'm trying to identify if this is a standard notice or is something specific related to my wife's case. She was never detained or arrested by she paid on speeding ticket on court. It's underlined on the part that says "if you ever been detained or arrested ... and no charges were filed"

Hi folks,
I'm so glad. Interview was scheduled to November 19th.
Received letter today. Got a standard USCIS notification format and an extra piece of paper saying that if you have criminal issues, bring an explanation. I guess this is related to criminal issues that might happen between today and the day of the interview. Any comments? Any one who received the interview letter to comment please? Also the letter says initial interview ... the wording initial is standard?

Got 2 emails from CRIS with I765 EAD card production ordered notice and I131 (travel authorization) approved. Do you guys know how long does it take to actually receive the card after this email? Thanks

Looks like cases received early June are not being transferred as fast as cases received at the end of the month. That could be a trend or just an improved email communication process for new cases. Not sure if all early June cases are being email notified.

Quick question: My wife has 3 middle names (go figure, like me ... latino stuff). In 2 of the NOAs there's no middle initial at all. On the other 2, 2 different middle initials. First and last name are correct though. My lawyer told me that's nothing. What realy matter is the name as appear (would be) on EAD and Green Card. These notices are issued by different clerks. Any comment?

Thank you very much for the prompt answer. On the same topic:
- does that mean she no longer has to register for all USCIS minimum required number of credits next fall? I guess so, right?
- will the school understand that situation and accept the "adjustee" status allowing her to register for less credits or not register at all and flagging her name on SEVIS?
- during the green card process itself (while runing) won't that be a problem since USCIS could try to check her I-120 before the interview and get at abandoned/or similar flag on SEVIS? Or only at the time of the application she would have to be in status.

Quick question for the Gurus on duty. We applied for my wife's AOS this week. Whole package. She is current a F1 and I'm a US citizen. I understand that as soon as we receive the NOA for 485/130 her status is no longer F1. Is that right? Or you have to wait for the EAD? Asking this because of the fall registration at her school. She will have to register in July but she want to change the pace and not register for all UCIS required credits (minimum of 9). We have a 1-year old boy and she want to rest a little.
1- Can she request to be removed from SEVIS and all the international student requirement as soon as we have the NOA? Or we have to wait for the EAD?
2- Does that requirement change from school to school? She is current having her Master.
3- Is she removed from SEVIS automatically?
I would appreciate any input. And thank you very much!

Hello, yesterday I Fedex’ed my wife’s application for her green card. The full package. We've been married since 2005 and I saw few comments on this board regarding people getting green card without an interview and fast. Our case will be handled in Greer, SC. I'm a US citizen (naturalized this year) and my wife a legal person (immigration status) (F1 student). We submitted everything including supporting documentation like our US born 1-year son.
1- Is there any detail that will make our process faster than normal?
2- What are the criteria for someone get the green card fast and with no interview?
3- What's the current processing time for everything in our case in SC (fingerprint, EAD, etc).
Thank you in advance. I know how hard is the waiting time for every body. I would appreciate any input.
