  1. I received the same e-mail and I am on F2A category. Went to the embassy yesterday and told them about this matter and their advice to me is to go on May 02 for the appointment and present the email that i received. They told me that they are open on April 28 & 29 but does not know if Visa services are open.

  2. I would try to get scheduled, I wouldn't wait for a letter (can't trust PhilPost). Right now most are waiting for an appointment opening to even show up.

Thanks a lot. followed your advice. Got an appointment on May 16. Thank you!

  3. Hi All! Just want to ask a question, Our case got expedited last Wednesday and its on its way the the US embassy in Manila. I paid all the fess and submitted all documents actually our case is already complete. Our status in the CEAC website say its "Ready". Should I just schedule the interview online or just wait for the letter?

  4. If it helps, we got our case expedited at NVC. Our request was accepted for expedite in 6 working days. What we did in our case was we sent email to NVCExpedite@state.gov and reasoned out why we need our case expedited and attached all supporting documents.

At this point NVC share these details with Consular General or Embassy and it is upto them to accept or reject expedite request. Make sure your reason for expedite is legitimate and I guess if your PD is current, it helps.

If approved, then you will receive email from NVC stating your request is accepted and all further dealings will be directly with the embassy.

We then waited for embassy to send instructions to schedule appointment. We received email, after countless follow-ups with call center for 3+ weeks, asking us to schedule medical test and interview for biometric & consular interview.

All this in last 4+ weeks. Hope this helps.

How come I only got a letter that says that they are willing to expedite if they received all our payments and documents? does that mean our request have not been approved yet? and how come I still have to deal with NVC while you didn't? thanks!

  5. Hi everyone! I just received a mail today saying that, "The U.S. Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case once we all have the fees, forms, and documents.", does this mean that my request for expedition has been approved? But I have send all the documents and paid all the fees, and then I called NVC and they told me that I have a few problems with my AOS and they will be sending me a checklist for it. And the rep told me once i get the checklist I have to send it again to them and it would take another 30 days for review even if my request for expedition in approved, is that true? But it says here in the mail that "you can pay your fees and submit DS-260 at ceac, state, gov. Please send everything else to nvcinquiry@state.gov (type "ATTN: PI Supervisor" in the subject line of the email) or to this address National Visa Center, ATTN: PI Supervisor, 31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 200, Portsmouth, NH 03801- 2915". So I can I send to through email? Thank you so much! Hope to hear your responses

  6. I'm having a difficult time with my AOS. I'm petitioning my wife and have paid the AOS fee. problem is I'm currently unemployed and had no job since I finished my school in the Philippines. My question is can i have both a co sponsor and a joint sponsor for my AOS? I'm currently living with my mom and her salary is good enough to support me and my wife when she comes here. but can I have an additional joint sponsor just to be on the safe side? Hope you could answer me. Thank you so much!

  7. Hi there, I got a problem with my i 864 for my wife. You see I dont have a job right now because I just came back from the Philippines from my studies. and I petitioned my wife last May and her case is already in the NVC. What do I have to do for my AOS? Can I get a co sponser for her? and do i have to fill out my 1 864 even i dont have a job? Please help me guys. I'm very worried about this. thanks!

  8. you do realize as a legal permanent resident of the US if you live outside the country you will lose your green card, correct?

thank you for your reply. Yes i do realize that. but i am not planning on living here in the Philippines permanently. I am just asking that in my marriage application i put my residence here in the Philippines, will that affect my application to sponsor her? I am coming back to the US on March.

  9. Hi guys. I need your help.

I received an e-mail from NVC yesterday stating that i have not send my civil documents, specifically my police certificates, photograph, and correspondence instructions. but I already send these documents along with my DS-230. I called NVC and they said they only receive the birth certificate and the photocopy of the passport. What will I do guys? I'm really positive that i send all those documents to NVC. Thanks in advance.

  10. my bad...you just made it..now the only thing you gotta do is to fill up ds230 within 1 year after the priority date becomes current. if you haven't been contacted by the nvc yet, inform your mom to contct them and tell them about your situation..or else contact your local u.s embassy directly and they would advise you on what you should do..hope this helps..

thank you so much the_nesh316. My mind is now out peace. thanks for the advice.

  11. i am sorry for giving you this info that CSPA won't apply to you coz when the priority date becomes current you will be able to deduct around 9 months from your age and that would be your CSPA age for immigration purpose...and that would be more then 21 years so it won't help you...your petition would be transferred to f2b

thank for your reply the_nesh316. my mistake im just turning 22 on October. i used the CSPA calculator and it turns out that my CSPA age is 20 years, 11 months and 15 days. does this mean that CSPA apply to me? Cause i just barely made it. im really confuse.
