  1. I had a couple of traffic citations 5 or 6 years ago, for speeding and red lights. I do not have the citations any more and do not recall the exact dates. They were all below $500 and not involving DIU's.

Will this cause any issues on my N-400 forms? I assume I'll have to anser yes to question D16 for Moral Character.

How accurate do I really have to be on the explanations? I have moved out of the state where the citations occurred and that state's driver's license was taken by the DMV when I applied for my license here. THis complicates getting any records from the old state's DMV office.

    Any advice?

    Thanks

  2. I am working on my N-400 forms, based on 3 years of marriage to a US citizen. Years ago, USCIS mistakenly denied my permanent resident application. The letter at the time stated:

Upon consideration, it is ordered that your application for status as a permanent resident be denied for the following reasons: see attachment. Proceedings will be instituted to enforce your departure. You may renew your application for status as a permanent resident during such actions.

Months later, with the help of an expensive attorney, I recieved a letter stating the following:

... On May 30 2006 you were both scheduled to appear for an interview in connection with the aforementioned applications in Los Angeles CA. You both failed to appear and the application was denied for lack of prosecution.

The Motion to Reconsider states that the respondent's failure to appear for this interview was not willful but simply the result of an address and jurisdiction change. The Service was aware of the new address and jurisdiction prior to thr scheduling of these appointments. However, the electronic systems were not updated in a timely manner to show the address and jurisdiction changes.

ORDER: It is the order ot the District Director that the Motion to Reopen be granted and the decision of May 30 2006 be set aside. It is further ordered that the application to Register Permanent Resident be reopened and a new interview date will be set.

I have been married for more than 3 years and have been a permanent resident for 3 years. My question is: what do I answer to the questions on N-400

E27) Have you EVER been ordered to be removed, excluded or deported from the United States?

E28) Have you EVER applied for any kind of relief from removal, exclusion, or deportation?

    Thank you for helping!

  3. I am working on my I-751 form and supporting evidence. There's a LOT of supporting paperwork, and I was wondering if each of thse pages also needs to have my name and A# on it. Or is that ONLY needed for extra paperwork that is needed to comment on any questions on the I-751 form itself.

Just confused with the instructions saying:

    Instructions

Please read these instructions carefully to properly complete this form. If you need more space to complete an answer, use a separate sheet(s) of paper. Write your name and Alien Registration Number (A #), if any, at the top of each sheet of paper and indicate the section and number of the item to which the answer refers.
