  1. Hello VJ people!

I wonder what to do next, I received the Green card 12/31/2009 since they mail it to the wrong address my first time in the US November 2007 (they sent it to a APO address, apparently it was lost). So I came back here with my husband in NC last December and that's the only time I updated my lost Permanent Residence Card which I assume the Green Card itself together with a notice from the USCIS saying Welcome to the US.

Anyway, I'm kinda' lost what exactly to do next, please guide me!

P.S. Permanent Residence Card Expiration Date: October 2010

  2. Fight for your RIGHT and your LOVE. Trial makes your love stronger or weaker...chose one. Be strong.

I've been there and all I did is to STAY and never give up. Men...they are weak! I say weaker than us 'coz they tend to find comfort in other women and seemed can't to stick to one (hmp!) but the thing is you as a woman should be the stronger one. Fight or give up, it's up to you. Fighting will be the hardest way than giving up but it's worth it when you win your battle.

Once you win it, the chances of him going with another woman (with emotional attachment like your husband and this girl) is very less.

Above all, seek God's guidance. Ask strenght..katakot takot na strenght ang kakailanganin mo.

    Need Advice!

    Here's the story!

Husband has a girl friend and hid her before i came here. I dont know her, i have no clue that he has a girl friend and close to each other. 2 days after my arrival in the US she introduced her to me, they are neighbors 2 blocks away from where we live (walking distance for me). They are very close, friends for 4 years and they can talk anything and everything under the sun. Husband said shes a friend that he can run to whenever he needed somebody to talk to, however, i wasnt told about her. Couple of weeks later, i read their text msgs and found out that shes calling him "babe" I was so jealous and asked hubby if theres something going on between them. He said nothing and they are only friends and that 2 years ago he asked the girl for a dinner and tried if it'll work beyond friendship but the girl refuses and 2 weeks before i came here the girl proposed to him that she'll leave her boyfriend if my husband would like to be with her. I freaked out when i heard about it and told him not to see her again coz as for me woman will ruin us. I am always in pain, feel so hurt, i always cry a river when it comes to her everytime he hides and that they're seeing each other behind my back. Hubby is always there with her if she needed a ride, doctors appointment and others. I never knew about that and when i learned about it and wanted to know everyday what she's up to and why she wanted my husband to give her a ride, some times i am told some time dont and still the same it'll always been left unsaid, they are still seeing each other without me knowing it. His alibis was if he tells me i freak out and if not i freak out.

Husband didnt tell her about me as we are talking in the internet, she only knew that her friend was engaged 4 months before i came here or i guess the day that my visa was approved. We live with his parents and if times his parents not around she visits, she has no car and lost her license so hubby pick her up to her house all the time, she used to visit the house 4 times a week before but now that im here hubby visits to her house, we always argued about her cant stand their friendship. He replied to her text msg when im not around and even call. I know he doesnt like arguements and so do i, he said there is nothing to be jealous about but why hes hiding it and erased their text messages. He runs to her 2am one time we argued. I dont know what to do about this anymore it drivin me crazy. I feel like i am all alone. i had nobody to talk to except his mom. he doesnt want to hurt bcoz he loves me but why he does things that will make my heartache. I know that its so unfair if i stop him from seeing her, he should understand that I gave up everything. He cant even keep his words. I love him so much more than myself. I am so weak when it comes to him and her. I wanted to go home, they said we need counseling. i dont know what to do..... He ignores my feeling.

Please i need ur advice hudband and wife's opinion.

    He's 38 im 25...

  3. tbat was my POE last year but we're here na sa NC. Oregon is such a beautiful place. The trees specifically...ahhh parang God-made landscape along the road. The place is really nice with few Pinays there, I met one in Medford who owns a home based Pinoy store kaya lang sobrang lang it was a long drive...roadside pa lang fantastic na...

All I can say is good times in Oregon, the best State na napuntahan ko so far (aside from Las Vegas he he) pero it's nice there talaga, tahimik hindi masyadong crowded. Puro mga White America kalimitan...

Try to go to theatre plays, yun ang interest ng mga tao dun (at least upon my observation). I attended several plays. I also went to some theatre to watch films...

    Hey guys,

Finally heading to Oregon after 3.5 years. Yup, hubby has been doing the jig since he arrived here in the Philippines. I'm moving to Central Oregon in the Bend area, and I was wondering if anybody from VJ is close to where I'll be at. We're leaving for the US on January 25 and it sure would be nice to have someone to keep in touch with when I get there. If you've got tips, advice, or funny stories to share, sure would appreciate any you can throw my way.

  4. 1. Mas mura kapag TRAVEL AGENCY kesa direct ka magpapa book sa airline. Try online sites like Expedia, they usually have good deals.

    2. Kahit sino pwede bumili ng airline ticket mo basta sa iyo nakapangalan ang ticket. :)

i wanna ask for help about booking a flight from mnl to us...

    1. which is better booking w/ a travel agent or online? philippines or us?

    2. if booking online, is it okay if the passenger is not the cardholder?

  5. Still mourning our beloved white shepherd, Spirit.

    100_1763.jpg Spirit (April 13, 1995 ~ March 3, 2009)

My Nala is 7 years old and I hope she will have longer life. RIP to Spirit. Looks snow white!

When I watched that movie "Marley and Me" I shed bucket of tears!

  6. I just called the USEM and they said they will be close tomorrow Manila time August 5, 2009.

Still waiting for visa to be pick up before Friday...

    Please pray for us...

    All the best!

FYI: Korean Embassy is closed as well. I know this may be irrelevant but I needed to pick up my passport at the Korean Embassy, my husband is in Korea but we will be going to NC this Friday. *sigh*

  7. Two years and we haven't grace with a baby yet but then it's a joy to have my beloved rottweiler with me. I love her as my own. I learned the real meaning of unconditional love because of her.

We people sometimes love a person but too often we expect something in return-even if we say "I don't". If a person we love ignored us, we tend to be offended about it. But love for a pet is so much different- it's something you'll give but doesn't have anything to take.

We don't have babies yet, but we have "Maury" the monkey. :star: He's nice guy because he doesn't complain. Anyway, I like what you posted here. Tis true sometimes we expect a lot of things from the person we love and if sometimes they don't appreciate these things and then we stopped loving them which is not right. Loving someone should be unconditional, no strings attached. We give because we love and because we want to make them happy.

It's amazing feeling when you just love with no holds barred! People tend to love in a way they see it in movies or in others eyes.

Anyway, thanks that you liked the topic.

Cute Maury! How old is he?

  8. He's a chameleon, one of many types of a lizard. Yeah he looks like half-dinosaur that's why it's fun to watch him. He moves slowly and when he walks it's like he's doing a cha2x dance. I will try to take a video of him walking cuz he really looks funny and maybe I can post it here. And he's a big eater too. He eats fat crickets like seven of them, simultaneously. As you can see he's has big tummy now hehehehehe.

Wow, sana magka chameleon din ako. Thanks for sharing!

You can buy it at any reptile stores. Chameleon is very sensitive, you must have the right amount of humidity and light for him. It is easy to pet a chameleon if we live in Philippines because it's tropical and with high humidity but it's hard here in US. That's why they have their own built-in terrarium. There are terrarium that's ready made in pet shop. But my husband loves building his own thing, and he made a big terrarium with a small chameleon living inside hehehehee. Mr. Green is only 6 inches long excluding his tail. I only measure him from head to butt. :D

Does it interacts? If so, how? Thanks for the infos.

Salamat din sa lahat ng nag sha share ng "babies" nila:) Nice photos! Share pa kayo!!

  11. I went to my doctor today for my 2nd prenatal and had an ultrasound and so sad to say that my baby dont have a heartbeat. They schedule me to remove the fetus on wednesday..

So sad and Im so depressed watching the fetus that is no movement at all...I cant stop crying this time...

Sad thing. God has His reason why certain things happen and why it happens to you or to us. Keep your spirit alive.

  12. Mae, favorite ko yung pic mo na you are looking out toward the sea.

Thanks for posting your photos blairwhich. Where are you located in the US? Ang laki ng backyard ng in-laws mo ah. Ekta-ektarya!

Jom, taga-Dipolog ka pala. I lived in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte for a year and finished my elementary there kaya marunong ako mag-Bisaya, hindi ko pa nakakalimutan.

Kakasindak talaga kapag may 300-lb. lady kang kasama sa Sky Deck. Buti hindi bumagsak hahaha!

Ha ha, shouldn't be backyard...it's the vacant lot adjacent to their house. It's like 15-hectare property ata from their ancestors something. I am now in the Philippines and should come to NC this week to be with my husband (deployment from Korea) kaya lang may problema ang Visajourney ko. Anyway that was in Oregon.

  13. Ok, your CR-1 was clearly stamped and has served as a temporary GC. What you need to do now is track down the GC - has the Welcome to USA letter arrived at your in-laws in the States? Whose address did you give when you filled the forms? If the letter has arrived, maybe the GC has too. You definitely want to check on that.

Since you have entered in October, I'd make sure to get back to the States before the expiration of the stamp. Then follow up with USCIS if the GC has not arrived.

For SSN, even though you check you want it sent to you, that happens in maybe 1% of all cases. That's why you have to go to the SSA office and file for the SSN personally.

    Best of luck to you!

Thank you. No mail or GC arrived in my in laws (yes, their address was the address I filed, on file). I am really unsure about the stamp for it's just a simple arrival stamp with handwritten Alien # on it. I think I would just "gamble" with my air ticket and travel with my passport with the VISA and stamps I have. No SSN arrived as well.

Did you see my post? The stamp you got IS the I-551 stamp

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=3173595

Thanks kaffy, it means a lot. I purchased an air ticket. I hope everything goes well.

  14. I did not receive I-551 stamp on my passport.

I expected they will write me or something but I did not receive any notice upon my entry.

I came to the US just for a month since my husband is stationed in Korea. I just came to US to visit and meet my in-laws and his friends and I expect to have POE at least.

I have VISA which was expired December 2008. I travelled US between OCtober-November 2008

I need to travel with my husband next week since he will be stationed in North Carolina. His military order just came last Friday.

    Thank you.

Use the base legal office to help you

I don't think JAG has any connection with USCIS, but it doesn't help to try.

Thanks a lot to both and everyone who answered..

    I will try.

  15. Hey it may not be all be lost, things can be done a lil' different if your husband is in orders with the army and is in active duty, I really don't know them completely to tell you that you may be saved and you'll be able to lift the conditions, but you could go to your embassy or have your husband call USCIS or something.

I wish you the best of lucks, and I understand you completely, when my husband was deployed we had the chance to make the paperwork and make it faster thanks to his deployment but we choose not to because I was gonna stay in Mexico with my family in the mean time, so don't listen to those who say they can't believe what you did, is probably just frustration on the process. I hope everything works out in the best way for you

Thanks a lot, I will be following your advice. I appreciate your hopes and good wishes. It feels good when someone can relate and even if we're strangers you wished me well. Thanks so much!

Thank you very much. I am pretty much keeping myself out of stress and have not to worry much. I tried my best to call USCIS but everytime I do, there's no luck. I also did lots of effort to call them when I was still in the US, but then really not lucky enough to get through. All the efforts about this VISA thing was taken aside when we decide to just stay here in my country so I thought we can do the VISA or GC process later or in low priority. But then, my husband's resignation in the Army was revoked so he have to leave Korea and move to North Carolina as his next duty station. The MOS or military order just came to our knowledge last Friday.

Right now, I purchased Manila-Las Vegas ticket to get to NC.

I am an honest and straightforward person as well, I really don't mind. I wish you all the best as well. I just want to be with my husband in his next duty station.
