  1. Hi everybody,

I am a little confused about the G-325A form.

In the 4th line of boxes (below the parents info) it says

Husband or Wife (If none,so state.)

    Family Name

    (For wife, give maiden name)

    Birth Date(mm/dd/yyyy)

    First Name

    City and Country of Birth

    Date of Marriage

    Place of Marriage

I assume (and wanted to check back with you all), that this would be the place to fill out my wife's info

or on her's G-325A my info as her husband. Is that correct?

It is just a little confusing how they structured the form.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Hello everybody,

I am in the process of filling all forms and get everything ready for our package. :star:

That threat helped me a lot and I wanted to post what I would include to be sure that we don't forget everything. I added the advance parole document to it and we would have a co-sponsor, since my wife just finished her masters and works for 2 1/2 months in her new job.

One question I have right now, do we need to submit copies of all tax documents for the past 3 years from the sponsor & co-sponsor? That is a huge amount of paper!

Any comments are appreciated and a big thank you in advance!

    Contents include:

Filing fee of $1,356.00 with Biometrics included. (Check #)

you must send TWO chceks... separate.

    one for $355 with I-130

another one for $1010 with the I-485 + rest of the 3kg paperwork where you will include copies of whatever you have..

You are very welcome in advance,

later you will owe me a beer in Ga-Pa

Thanks for the quick answer! :)

Would love to have a beer after all that crazy paperwork! :P

  4. Hello everybody,

I am in the process of filling all forms for my AOS and be confused about if for the I-485 and I-130 I would need a certified copy of our Marriage Certificate or if a normal copy would also do the job of our Certificate.

On the Guideline it says certified in other posts just a copy.

We got one certified copy already but I am curious if we would need to order a second one.

    Thanks in advance!

  5. VJ timelines represent what members here have experienced. It by no means captures everyone's timeline, and since it is an average, some people take less time, and some take more.

USCIS is quite conservative with their estimates. When they say that they are processing cases received in April, that generally means that they have some cases from April that are still being worked on. It does not mean that they are that far behind.

Expect it to take about 3 months, but don't be surprised if it takes less or more time than that.

Thanks a lot for the answers!

I just see that their website is updated on a monthly base and I thought I see the processing times in real time...

In around 10 days the website will be updated again and then it should reflect the up to date ones........

Sorry, I just figured that much out.

  6. Hi everybody,

I am looking into the processing times of the I-131 and see a big difference between the VJ timeline and the uscis website.

VJ timeline says around 2-3 months but at the uscis website they are working currently on forms submitted early April!:blink:

Does anybody has recent experience with his / hers I-131 and is living in Missouri?

Also, it might depends if the big service centers are working on the form or local offices. Is there a way to influence where the I-131 is processed at? The new instructions of the document telling me to send it to the Nebraska Service center. Is it still possible to "direct filling" to an local office?

We would like to submit the form end of october and already reserved a trip to Mexico 3 months later, now I am concerned that our AP will not be approved by then.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!

  7. My girlfriend and I are thinking of doing a vacation in Mexico early next year while I am working in the US.

I will be in the US around 50% of my time this year for work on a Visa waiver, that means like 6 weeks at home in Germany and then another 6 to 7 weeks in the US, which should be fine.

In January we are thinking to take some days off and meet in Mexico for a vacation.

She would fly from Kansas City to Mexico and I would fly from Germany with a connection flight to the US and then with another connection flight to Mexico, after a week I would fly back to the US and stay for some weeks for work.

Now I am concerned about the USCIS, since I have to go through immigration and be afraid that there could be complications since I technically have been in the US (only for the connection flight) and be back within just one week, especially because I would have been in the US this year a lot of my time.

Does anybody went through a similar situation or has any info?
