  1. Amal - I know it's hard for me too. I work in an office and I'm the only muslim (there's one other girl but she's moving to Saudi in September). We don't have offices here just desks and ppl eat lunch at their desks all through the day. At first I am intimidated - still looking forward - just scared on how I'll make it. One thing I do is try to buy some new scarves and such. I normally don't cover because of my work (I keep praying for strength to not care about work an and just cover) - but in the holy month I do cover and I let everyone know. I also won't schedule in-person meetings with clients if I can avoid.

Normally, we try to eat a 3-5 course meal together and pray the evening prayer together. This year I will attempt to read the whold Quran again. I would also like to find a masjid that my husband and I could visit - since we've yet to find one near our home :(.

Hang in there Amal - just log into yahoo on those days and we'll be there for each other :)

    Happy Ramadan Everyone who celebrates!

  2. If she is from an Islamic country such as Afghanistan you may have to be very patient with her. If you need advice on this topic it is a good idea to contact someone privately instead of on the message board here. Feel free to contact me if you like. But the main thing is to gradually talk about this sensitive subject until she feels comfotable with it. It is most likely new to her and she is shy and somewhat scared. But please keep in mind not everything in "a man's fantasy" is halal and permissible in the Islamic lifestyle. She may or may not be able to religiously fulfill your every desire so please respect her in this matter. Again you may contact me for more information!

i know i would sound ignorant but im a newbie here and i want to hear honet opinions...my wife is super nice pretty and young and she's also very conservative came from a good family...was wondering she is too quiet about sex..i want to really talk to her about anything and teach her every mans dreams and fantasy i want this relationship to work...any advice??

thank u so much i really appreciate it..

i love this site! i have learned a lot and iam planning on petitioning my wife ASAP!

  3. Hmm....strange.....

In fact, if you checked the population of Roman Catholics in the world and compared it to Sunni, you would fine that the sunnis have a slightly higher population than the Roman Catholics. I don't know how to paste those charts, but you are free to check the facts for yourself.

Anyway, comparing who is bigger wasn't the original point. He clearly said first Roman Catholics and then just Catholics in general were the majority of the world. This is not the case, so I pointed out the population percentages. There was never a reason to put sunni/shia populations if you had closely studied the argument :) Now, if he had argued that Christians as a whole were the largest religion in the world. I would have agreed though they are not the majority since that would require going over 50 percent of the world population.

  4. Hello! We are now ready to submit just waiting on an answer to these questions:

    1. Do we need to or is it recommended to include a copy of the foreign spouses birth certificate in the original I-130 packet?

    2. Is attaching photographs onto a sheet of paper, with descriptions of them along with three affidavits substantial proof of a bonafide marriage?

    3. Must we mail the package with delivery confirmation or is regular mail suitable?

    4. Is it okay to place all of the documents into a vanilla colored filing folder?

    5. When should we begin preparing our I-129 packet?

    6. Are we supposed to sign the G-325A in blue ink?

    7. What if some of the documents are a little wrinkled, will the USCIS reject our application? If so, should we redo them?

Thank you everyone! Please reply if you can, sorry for the long list of questions but we are desperate here.

  5. I'm no expert on the filing of papers....but my wife says that you can not start any papers until after the divorce or you could get in serious trouble legally. The best thing to do is:

    1. Track down your husband.

    2. Obtain a legal divorce and get your decree in you hand.

    3. Once you are divorced go to meet your boyfriend and if you want to marry (after the divorce) do it, but get your divorce before you do anything!

In the meantime keep the communication with your Moroccan boyfriend going, cheer up and try not to cry too much, we all miss our sweethearts and hate the distances! You have come to the right place for support and advice. Good luck! :-)

hello my name is Kat and I am an american but my boyfriend is in Casablanca, Morocco! I love him very much. We would like to get married but I am not sure what we are going to have to go through to get him here. The distance at this point is driving me insane :crying: . I know it is going to take a while because I left my husband almost 3 years ago and am not divorced yet. I can not get ahold of him to get a divorce. But I am working on it! .Anywho I would just like to know where we start?? Please help me!

You can start nothing to do with the visa/immigration process until after you have a final divorce decree in hand. In the meantime, feel welcome to study the guides here and learn the process.

    thank you :crying:

I recommend reading the guides. Actually, I URGE you to read the guides. You will definitely have a way better understanding of the process and what's needed to start your "visa journey".

    Good luck

  6. hOMG

They told me that blue was ok. I have to go back.

Is a sky blue background acceptable?

It says that the photos should be plain white or off-white. So I would get them re-done.

But you can have them take a good digital picture frontal view with a white background and send it to you. You can then go into any camera place and have the passport photos printed from that. I have done that before.

  7. About this proof is it due at the time he files I-130? When my wife filed mine in '07 she did not incude this. Has the rule changed and where online can they go to review it? Is there any site that will tell them exactly what to do. My wife assembled my package and I am clueless. She is out of town so I can not contact her. My friend's wife is reqesting that I gather this info for her because I am experienced. Boy, is she more than wrong. My wife did everything I just signed basically and filled out my own forms and collected needed affadavits.

Now what should she do about the pics? "Photo of" or "Photo of Azim" should go on the label? Just the words "Photos of" or do you also add the names?

Also, if she did not legally change her name on her SS card should she do so prior to applying for the case?

  9. Hello! I am going to be needing an affadavit of support form. My wife does not have a job so she can not supply suffiecient documentation for me. What options do we have? Her family members have rejected to sponsor me due to feeling as if the government will have them under privacy lock and key and all of their privacy would be exposed. They feelt his way because I am from an Islamic country and they feel the government wll double exammine all behavior of them for the next few years due to signing the affadavit of support for me. She has asked all of our mutual and non-mutual friends and nobody has been caring enough to support us. So, what are our options? I do not want to get approved in the next few weeks and not have a sponsor when the time comes. Very worried here because I know the approval is not far from now. Any information you provide to me, will be highly-appreciated!
