  1. We have already been documentarily qualified and are currently waiting to be scheduled for the interview. I’m wondering if changing jobs at this point would cause any issues. The new job would actually pay more than my current position and more than the income I originally listed in my application. I’ve tried looking this up online, but I’m finding conflicting information. Since we’ve already waited so long to reach this stage, I don’t want to risk doing anything that could complicate or delay the process. Would it be acceptable for me to change jobs now and simply update the financial information? For example, by submitting a new I-864 form along with 3–6 recent pay stubs and a letter from my new employer confirming my title, start date, and salary, and then having my wife bring those documents to the interview. Or would it be safer to wait until after her interview before changing jobs to avoid any potential issues? I would really appreciate any guidance from anyone who has experienced something similar or have any insight to share!
