  1. We got our NOA2 for K3 on the the 21st of July--yay!! My husband is waiting in England and having a really hard time just waiting. I have read the forum to find what he needs to get prepared. So, my question is: Can he go ahead and get his medical? (which form?) Should he get passport pics done now? (What specifications--England's are different so needs size), and anything else to keep his mind off of things?

    Thanks for your help!!

I just completed K1 so I hope this helps. At most places you go to get passport photos they can do american size, get 3 on the safe side(I had mine noterized by my doctor). If your in london book your medical only when the american embassy sends you notification, they have recieved your file, you need the file number. As I said I did K1 !!

  2. This visa process can become quite draining as most of you know :(

My fiance interviewed at the US Embassy in London on May 12 for his K-1 visa. At the time of the interview, he did not have his passport with him (details in profile), so he was issued a 221G request for Additional Documents specifically just for his passport. My fiance was able to send his passport in to the embassy on June 12, which he did, and the US Embassy in London put my fiance's passport in their system on June 15. DOS told us that the embassy put his passport in their system. I specifically asked about whether my fiance is on Admin Processing or Admin Review or Security Checks in Washington, D.C., and I was told NO, he is not in any security checks or Admin Processing or Admin Review, just that his case is pending. So I naturally thought that he is under some standard processing prior to his visa being issued. Today it has been 1 month since the US Embassy in London has logged my fiance's passport into their system, but the visa has not been issued yet. I call DOS everyday and I am being told everyday that he is not in any type of checks or AP/AR, just that his case is pending, and it should be soon that his visa is printed. My mind is racing constantly trying to figure out what the delay could be if it is not AP/AR/security checks, what is the reason for the delay? Also, the embassy has kept the passport, so I guess that is a good sign, but my fiance's student visa in London expires in November, I don't know how long this delay is going to take, in fact, I don't even know the reason for the delay of his visa printing! Can someone please give me some direction on what could be a possible reason for this type of delay such as the one we are experiencing? :help:

When I went to the embassy for my interview I was issued with a 221g for additional documents.I needed to alter my name by deed poll so my birth certificate matched my passport and I needed to send more photographs, once I had the additional documents I returned them along with my passport by courier. I paid for the courier to return my passport when ready and recieved both passport and visa within a week.I'm not sure if this will help just giving an example of my experience.

  3. Had my medical today, they said they would only contact me if there was a problem with my blood test, doe's that mean I passed??. Interview tommorow nervous as hell !!!

  4. my fiance (foreign) came across a book published in 2006, and it states that in order to get the i-129f approved, as well as the entire K1 process, you need to show proof of wedding plans??

has anyone else come across this?

been reading VJ since December, and this is the first i am hearing of this..

    it is necessary?

or for proof of ongoing relationship for his interview, would it help to have a deposit on a wedding dress/ venue/ date/ wedding rings purchased??

you do not have to prove wedding plans,as you can not tell when your I-129f will be approved. You must have proof of an on going relationship.

  5. Hi, finally approved, now more questions! My fiancee was sick since before December, but will be returning to work next week. However has no recent pay slips,he has kept his job with the same employer of twenty years. He also has yet to file taxes for last year but has made enough to sponser me.Do we need a co-sponser????

  6. My fiance the us citizen has been admited to hospital oringinally with a hernia but they had to operate and remove part of his intestine which was wapped around his bowels. We thought he was out of the woods but they have discovered internal bleeding.I am in such a panic, what can I do?? Would the embassy even entertain an emergency visitors visa, or can I expedite the K1 as he will be bedridden for months. There must be something he needs me now!!!!

Travelers from the U.K. are usually given a visitors' visa automatically, unless there is some circumstance that makes you ineligible.

I am ineligible for the visa waiver

  8. Can anyone help me,my baby arrives in the UK next week. we have decided to fill out the k1 together when he gets here.My question is because I was in the us for three years(legally with extensions,no overstay)will that automatically get me red flaged?????

  9. Given the above information you supplied it will have no impact on your K-1 visa. Don't worry about them not letting you in this time....for the reason you stated, it will not affect your petition.

I love my fiance will the goverment question my motives more then others, because of my history and long stay in the us????

  10. Will the fact that I resided in the us for three years on extended visa(no overstay),have any affect on the k1 visa. Also the fact I was denied entry at poe and recently at the us embassy????

    Hiya

Your K1 should not have affect due to no overstay..but we need more info. Why was you denied at POE and US embassy? On what circumstances?

I returned to the us only two weeks after I left and tried to enter on the vwp which poe said I was not eligible, one I returned to london the first avalable appointment was three months away in july. They denied me saying I had not been in my own country long enough but I was not excluded from applying again

  11. i guess time u have known each other does not make a difference cuz i have seen many with only a few months into the relationship get noa2 u just have to satisfy the requirements for the k1 application and visa :)

You're right, but bona fides are not an issue with K1 NOA2. Bona fides are evaluated at the interview.

can I ask what you mean by bona fides????
