I'm just so tired of these Islamists burning and desecrating our flag. The same flag that draped the coffins of our servicemen who fought for our country. The same flag that thousands of Americans died for. After giving them $1.5B in aid this is what we got! Our ambassador was murdered on sovereign territory and dragged thru the streets while he was dying! How's that for Arab Spring?! The US should close all our embassies there, stop sending aid and Obi from Nairobi should stop apologizing and calling them Arab leaders "His Highness". Thousands of their fellow Muslims are dying in Syria and you don't see no protests but a snippet of this stupid film was shown on You Tube and they started storming our embassies and killing innocent Americans who has nothing to do with that movie! The Bamiyan Buddha was destroyed by the Taliban and you don't see Buddhists retaliating. Obama needs to pull out all our troops and if they want to live in the 12th century I say let them!!! Teen charged with killing father, stepmother in Nash County

WHITAKERS, N.C. -- A teenager is charged in the murders of his father and stepmother.

Jacob Whitfield, 17, is in the Nash County jail on two counts of first degree murder.

Whitakers Police Chief Chris Wagstaff said officers went to a home at 503 Taylor Street about 11:30 p.m. Saturday after a 911 call that two people had been shot. When officers arrived, they discovered the bodies of the couple who lived there – Brian and Charisma Whitfield.

Officers also found Jacob Whitfield, his friend, and Whitfield's younger brother, who is 10 years old or younger.

Neighbor Freddie Blackmon said he spoke with that child shortly after the murders.

"I asked him how he was doing and he said he was upstairs when he heard gunshots and then he came down and found both of them dead on the first floor," Blackmon said.

Caroline Frazier and Brandi Aycock said they went to school with Jacob Whitfield at Northern Nash High School when he wasn't living with his mother in Virginia.

"Every time I saw him at school, he didn't really have a lot of friends or people to talk to, but I didn't know him that well," Frazier said.

"He always had that odd feeling about him, like I don't know, he was just real weird and he never seemed the type to do something like that," Aycock said.

The couple was married three and a half years, according to a posting Charisma made on visajourney.com. Multiple neighbors verified the pictures on the site were of the couple.

On the site, Charisma, who is from the Philippines, listed her interests. Among them, "…most of all spend my time with my husband and his family!!"

According to a neighbor and the birth date listed on the site, Charisma Whitfield was killed on her 31^st birthday.

Brian Whitfield was a nurse, according to neighbors.

"I hate something like this to happen to anybody, especially someone I knew," said Donnie Frazier, a neighbor who had helped Brian Whitfield with some yard work in the past.

"It puts everything into perspective. Each day you just don't know what tomorrow holds for anybody," he said.

Police have not yet released the 911 call made, nor identified the caller publicly.

Whitfield is being held without bond. Whitfield's first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday morning.

My biometrics for N400 was waived so I don't think its an SOP to have it done at every stage. I was not even asked about it at the interview. When I made an inquiry they told me that my FP for ROC is still valid so they will use that. But since they already sent you an appointment letter the best thing to do is to go and have your biometrics taken . You cant decide what to skip or not it might result in delays in your case.

I finally got that precious little bit of paper back that I kissed goodbye to back on April 17. Today I opened my mailbox and found that my naturalization certificate had returned back to me. So I am finally all done. US passport & CoN are now safely in my hands. So happy to have it all finished.

I will be sticking around to see the rest of the January filers through. You guys are great and have so much patience. If you are sill waiting, hang on in there. I know there's not much we can do to help how you feel, but we're here for you are hoping things go smoothly and quickly for the last stretch of your visajourney!

I filed an AR-11 by mail back in August of 2011, but never received any confirmation. My husband filed an I-865 for the affidavit, and he did receive his.

In April of 2012 I received "NOTICE OF REQUIREMENT TO FILE PETITION TO REMOVE THE CONDITIONAL BASIS OF AN ALIEN'S PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS" on my old address. It was forwarded to me by the post office. I realized that the first address change wasn't successful. So I sent a new one. Still waiting for the confirmation. I'm wondering if they send any confirmation at all? Should I call them to make sure they did it? I have a proof that they received my mail.

I am about to send my ROC packet and I now worry about the consequences of this failure to update my address. If USCIS still has my old address and my husband's new address it may seem that we live separately. Fortunately I have plenty of evidence that we live together, but I still worry about this.

Don't worry about it. They sent my reminder at my previous address too.I filed AR-11 online so I just enclosed the confirmation copy on my application. But even though you don't have a confirmation copy it doesn't mean there will be problems. It's gonna be OK. Just send your application using your new address and it will updated from there.

Since you did not file taxes there is no way you can provide tax transcripts. You should then submit Form 1722 which is a verification of non-filing which IRS provides to confirm that a taxpayer did not file taxes for a particular year. It can be requested by completing IRS Form 4506-T, checking the box marked "Verification of Non-filing" and mailing it to the IRS or by calling them and have them faxed it to you. Yes 4506-T is Request for Tax Return Transcript but that's what you need fill up. Just check item # 7 for Verification of Non-filing.

That happens a lot. My biometrics was waived. 30 days after mailing my application I called them & filed a service request. A week after, I got an email saying that they waived it as my fingerprints(from ROC) is still valid. I printed it out and took it with me on my interview just in case I got asked for it. The FP issue never came up on my interview & I took my oath the same day. FP is usually valid for 12-15months. But since your last one was years ago there's a big possibility that they will take your FP again.

It might be a case by case basis. I applied on my 3rd yr as PR and it was very easy. Did not send that much paperwork with my packet too. Much easier than AOS & ROC. My N400 process took 3months!

our trips just lasted 2 to 3 weeks each trip. i had only two trips so far the first trip is only 1 week then the second trip was only 2 weeks. this month will be another 3 weeks so i think

i am still good to file for US citizenship.

I took 4 trips outside the US before filing my N400. The last trip was a week before i filed. It is OK as long as a single trip doesn't exceed 6months. And of course you must have been physically present in the United States for 18 months out of the 3 years.

i am an LPR since 3-30-2009 now we travelled last march then this month our trip is already booked.

now i am aware that i can file for US CITIZENSHIP before 3-30-2012 but because of the trips we had i decided not to file

my question is can i still file within this year probably between sept to nov? or do i have to wait for the 5 years window?

Looking at your timeline I saw that you came here as K1. Based on that I am assuming that you have a 2yr conditional card. When did you apply for ROC?You need to have the conditions removed in your GC before filing for citizenship. If you already did that's great!!

Pepper, because our ceremony in Los Angeles was so huge (and possibly because they have one of the passport agencies in LA??) they had set up with the USPS to accept passport applications after the ceremony was completed. So I got my CoN, signed it and then lined up, handed in my form and paid my money. I held my CoN for less than 20 minutes, I think.

Ah OK! Thanks! Hope u get your CoN soon! Not having it right now makes me anxious again.

Just got my passport in the mail today. Now I am waiting for my CoN to be returned to me and I am done. But ultimately, I have my proof of USC now so I am a happy bunny.

Passed the interview at Federal plaza in NYC. It was hilarious, because after reading about all the people having problems with speeding tickets, I brought all the receipts, my driving abstract, everything you could possibly bring to the interview. When I mentioned it to the interviewer and stared pulling all those documents from my bag, the (very nice) interviewer said "Dont fix what ain't broken. I'll ask you if I need anything.", and approved me without even looking at those. Awesome!

Didn't get the oath letter same day though, as by the time I was interviewed, it was already like 4pm I was in a waiting room with at least 500 people.

Passport Application update!

So, I applied for my US after my passport yesterday afternoon after my oath (in the morning). I scheduled for a 2pm appointment at the Dallas Passport Agency located downtown Dallas, at Earle Cabell Federal Building. I got there at about 2.05pm give or take, checked-in at the appointment window then I was given a number and asked to sit down until it is called. I had my application filled out online then just printed it out. By the way, I took my passport photos at CVS (instant photos took me like 5 minutes) where I was charged like $8 coz for signing up for a CVS discount card! I was like sweet! The cost is normally $10

I had my letter from my employer stating that I needed my passport ASAP for work and also a copy of my international travel dates for this weekend for work as well. I had my original CoN and driver's license and copies of each. I was called to another window where the lady went through my paperwork and asked me when I would be traveling and I said this weekend and that took her by surprise! Hehe… Anyways, she told me to come pick it up tomorrow (which is today) and so I did!

To sum it all, I got my passport in less than 24hrs and I didn't have to part with my CoN so that was good. It all cost me a total of $195 ($135+$60 expedite fee)

So now I am officially done with USCIS/passport journey as far as I am concerned!
