  1. ohh thank u so much for the reply, yes taga cebu ko, ill just keep on calling i guess, im planning to have it send sa akong Mama para sila na mo send diri nako.. Again thanks i really appreciate it :innocent:

im sure they will give you another copy of that... my friend had the same experienced as you but, she told me SLEC won't entertain you good about requesting new copy.

i pray that you can contact/talk to the kind hearted SLEC staff and give you another copy of your vaccination without asking a lot of questions... just try to call them back.

    goodluck!

taga cebu pod di ay ka?

  2. Hi guys...

We are in the process of filing our AOS only to find out that my DS 230 (vaccination sheet from SLMEC) is gone. Im afraid my husband accidentally threw it away along with other junk mails last December (sniff sniff) ... Now my question is, will SLMEC provide another copy if ill request a new one, i tried to call them today but i cant get a hold of them, its either busy or no one is answering, ill try my luck again next time, but please if you have any information do let me know, i am just trying not to do the whole process of the medical exam and spend extra. Im hoping for your advices ...

    Thank You very much!

  3. You have a point. So the best thing she should do is to try looking for those chat logs and emails without those things that will catch CO's attention and would lead to another question.

Why raise additional questions if it can be avoided? Plus, there are stories of denied entry just because an engaged couple referrerd to each other as husband and wife in front of POE officer while trying to enter with K1.
  4. Actually he wrote "Mrs Beautiful Maria Nonweiler and wifey" and i wrote "my husband" on our emails, I just want to point it out to her that as long as she has documents to show of her Singleness, and if they ask her about it, i am sure she can explain the reason why they call each other husband and wife although they are not legally wed yet :)

If I on her situation and CO will wonder, I would say it to them that In our heart and In our mind we are already a husband and wife and we are happy each time we express it to each other, we just need a paper to prove it all.

My fiance calls me Mrs Beautiful Maria Nonweiler and his signature on his email goes like this:

    I LOVE YOU

    MISSES BEAUTIFUL MARIA

    NONWEILER

I print it all like 120 copies of his emails. If they will get suspicious then will find time to read all those email and conduct further investigation. And there is your CENOMAR that will prove your Singleness. In my case they did not ask for any proofs of relationship but i have it all readied.

I dont think you have anything to be worried about, it is just a means of endearment. They will ask you if they get curious about it. So worry no more :)

But he doesn't spell it Mrs on your email.

Personally I would avoid anything that will cause the CO to raise further questions.

  7. I understand that you are frustrated. But you shouldnt say you're hopeless and that you cant wait anymore. You have come this far, its just a couple of steps to be with your husband. Be strong. God never fail any prayers, it may not granted this soon, but it is because he want you to have it in the right time that he designed for you. God will get sad if you keep on praying and asking but then you don't believe on his powers. He is very powerful and you know that. So have more faith. You will get your VISA in due time. We are praying for you as well. Good Luck and Believe that nothing is impossible with GOD

  9. Your Fiance needs to call NVC so he will be provided with a case number or MNL2008....

They would tell you also the date where they will send your documents to Us Embassy. It usually arrives in 3-4 days.

    Hello VJs,

We got our NOA2 last Aug. 25, 2008 and it is said in the flow chart (for K1 process) that after we get our NOA2 we will wait for 4-5 days and call the NVC to ask if they receive the petition. We tried to call but we can't get through their line. So my concern is this.

Do we need to call NVC? Will they not process it if we will not call NVC? or Is it okay that we will just wait for the packet to arrive that will be sent to US embassy?

I need your advice guys, I appreciate any help.

    Anna

  10. As long as you will show them the Medical Certificate that proves you are totally OK, i dont think it will cause you a problem. Where in cebu are u from?

I think you're right. My past illness was not contageous though. Thanks

Just tell the truth, I think if they don't see a problem there is no reason to deny you..

Good luck on your up coming interview :D

  11. Continue the K1 process, it will take longer if you change plan. If you really wanted to have a wedding in P.I have it on your 2nd wedding. And dont ever try mixing K1 and K3 application, that will cost you trouble in the end. USCIS and US Embassy are very sensitive with documents. Just keep it fast and simple by using the K1.

    Good Luck ... :)

Well, you're already 2-3 months into the K1 process, which is about half way. I don't think it would be wise, unless there's some greatly compelling reason to scrap it all and marry overseas, especially when the K3 process generally takes longer. Just marry here. If you were like, one month or less into the process, I'd have said scrap it, but then again it's your choice. If you can go the wait with no problem, go for the K3. Most of us wouldn't want to though, I imagine.

Yes, I agree. Will just switch plans back to the original way we was going to do. Only reason we thought about getting married in Philippines is because here I have very small family, and of course my fiance back in Philippines has very large family, so we thought it would be nicer and funner getting married in Philippines. But we will definitly go back to plans of marry here in US. Thank You all.

  12. yes there is. use this format and send through sms: MNL# yourname dateupaid metrobranch. when did you send my dv to nso pls? send to 09176221949 keep sending them sms everyday regardless of the same reply, until you get a good reply ;)

once its done from nso they will then forward it to us embassy :)

We keep hearing about delays receiving the Visa due to Document Verification not being done or late. We paid our DV on Sept 1st and received the payment verification from Delbros, but is there a way of tracking or knowing when the DV is sent to the Embassy?

    Thanks,

    Dan♥Analyn

  13. and oh i dont know if it is a good idea for you to be around during the interview. there was a post few days ago that the fiance which is an american citizen was not granted to get in to the embassy. i know its kinda weird and odd to think how on earth that happened, but yeah he waited for hours outside the embassy under the shed where it was so hot during that time. sorry i cant find that thread. ill try again later. who knows maybe they implemented a new policy?only god knows how this people think. but yeah if you want to be with your fiance to support thats a good idea, but try to ask further if you can get in ok.

I just was wondering if anyone who has had a success interview at US Embassy Manila could tell me how it went, what they asked, and all that. I am TRYING to work enough overtime right now so that when the interview comes I can fly there and be with her for that.
  14. My Fiance sent a complete documents in California Service Center. We both believe that once the Petitioner

provided USCIS the complete documents including the I - 134 Affidavit of Support and such. They wont give a hard time questioning the Beneficiary. In my case, the only documents they asked from me was Birth Certificate, NBI Clearance and Certificate of No Marriage only. But i brought all the requirements and proofs.

Well the pre screener asked the Affidavit of support including those W2,IRS,paystubs and pictures. But the Consul Officer returned it back. The did not ask the other proofs like email, money transfers, phone bills.

Take note: i gave them the photocopy of I 134 and it was not even notarized. I was really worried because from what ive heard it SHOULD be Original Copy and notarized or else you will be denied. Babe was very confident on the other hand he said he already sent Orig Copy with Notary to CSC, why bother to send one over her, i was really down during that time because he wont listen to me. I thought i was really going to be refused.

***But just to make sure - send her the original copy for you I-134***

But then again, it is a case to case basis. Just gather all the requirements needed. Self Confidence. Faith in GOD and bunch of prayers from both of you ... We, your VJ Family will pray for a smooth interview as well :)

  15. I have to drink water before i have to reply, i am speechless and sorry. Although i have never experience what you have been through but i feel you. My eyes are actually watery right now because there is no easy way to feel when you are away with your better half.

I hate corruption and bribery too, hearing those scenario is not new to me but i still feel sick to my stomach. What a bunch of an ### they are. But oh well ...

I understand how frustrating this is for both of you at this point of time. This whole process indeed is an emotional torture, But hey God is there, YOUR God our GOD is their for you. Just dont lose hope, He never refused to any of our prayers. Thats what my fiance taught me. Again, God never refuse to any of our prayers, its just that "there is always a right time for everything " . You will be with your husband soon, That big guy from up above sees how you both struggle and remain strong despite of the odds you been through ... You both will have your time. Just hang on and don't ever stop praying .. Push praying until something happen... Dont worry i will include you in my prayers too ..

I am an Indian citizen married to a US citizen, currently living in Hyderabad. My hubby applied for a K-3 visa petition in the month of July, 08'. The NVC has forwarded the case to US Consulate in India (Chennai) and i have finally received my interview date which is on 14th of October, 08'. We are excited, not happy, just excited and nervous because we had earlier applied for a K-1 (Fiance) Visa which got denied because we sent pictures of a Hindu Religious Marriage ceremony saying that "We couldn't register our marriage, since we couldnt get a Marriage Certificate and hence applying for a K-1". The Consular Officer denied saying that the pictures show us getting married in a religious ceremony and that my husband should file for a K-3 for me and not K-1. He denied saying that we filed for a wrong visa! Starting from there, all the days were of trauma, sadness, depression and frustration. We couldnt apply for K-3 earlier because we didn't have a marriage certificate. The Government Offices in India (Hyderabad esp- where i stay) are corrupted and when we went to register our marriage they asked for a bribe of 1.5 lakh rupees (around $3,330) and then only they'd register our marriage (since my husband is a Caucasian white and ppl here tend to take a huge amount of money from foreign nationals as bribes). We were devastated and angry, we couldn't do anything and hence we had to give up and my husband and i went in for a K-1 visa.

My K-1 interview was in April 2008. After the visa got denied, my hubby took a leave and came to india in April and we got our marriage registered by the first week of June, which was not easy. This time we went to the Registrar's office with one of our relative, who is an Advocate himself. We filled the application and submitted it which is like a 1 month's notice period and after that we have to appear in front on the registrar with three witnesses within 90 days after the notice period ends. My husband, i and my father went to the office after the notice period ended and the registrar said "i will not register your marriage" - which clearly meant he wanted a bribe. My father asked him directly, how much money he wanted, he said atleast 1 lakh. We argued with him saying as citizens we have the right to get the services of the Govt, and they cannot keep asking for bribes like this. The Officer was shameless, he didnt say anything. We came back home and the next day we went to the Registrar with the Advocate and with a few media people from the Press. My dad, advocate and the media guys stormed into the registrar's office and scared the hell out of the officer, and he finally registered the marriage, we got our marriage certificate! A series of unfortunate events, however, things turned to be well finally.

My hubby went back to the US by the end of 1st week of June, applied for a K-3 petition in July, and finally i received my interview date which is on 14th October! But still, the reasons for being scared and nervous are more than happiness and we have kept our fingers crossed. My hubby and i have been apart for so long that its getting depressing!

We don't know if there are couples who have faced the problem of getting the K-1 denied and who have then applied for a K-3. If there is anyone here who has faced the same problem or who knows someone who has ever faced the same problem then please do let me know. it would give us confidence that we are not the only one who have been denied a K-1 and had to re-apply again for another and that there are people who do get denied sometimes becos of some reasons, which can be a small reason or a big reason.

And if possible, please pray for us, becos i cant and i dont want to live without my husband anymore if the K-3 gets denied again for any reason, God forbid. I will die without him. It's the worst thing that can happen to couples, who love each other so much and want to spend life together and i hope and pray to God that no one should ever face such problems in life.

  16. I wasnt able to watch those videos when i attended the seminar. I was 2 hours LATE.

My fiancé went to her seminar after passing the interview. We thought the seminar would tell you everything about the USA, and what to expect and how to count money or something Or about the weather or something educational and helpful. Instead they flooded her brain with discouraging stories and videos of the Filipinas that got treated bad. Stories, pics and vids of prostitution, beatings and death etc. Can you believe the embassy passed fiancé visa interviews and the couple have only known each other for a month or so.. This really pissed me off to know they do that during the seminar instead of making you feel comfortable. I mean the process is frustrating enough, and then they do that at the end of it to stress you out more. How sad is that. And you have to pay for it.

Shame on The U.S embassy in Manila

MY fiance arrived on my bday. sept 2 woohoooooo!
