The wife received her 10 year green card in the mail today. We didn't get an email or text; but it sure was a nice surprise getting it! Please update our status. The letter was dates on 12/14/2010. Best of luck to everyone who is still waiting.

My wife did her biometrics yesterday in Michigan City, Indiana. It literally took all of 5 minutes.

Great news Mr.G. What is the Date on which the CSC issued the letter and where is your District Office?

I believe the notice date is 9/10 and my district office is Chicago...however, they are sending us to Michigan City, IN for biometrics.

Hi all, quick question. My wife (from the UK) and I were thinking about obtaining Dual Citizenship for her but wanted to know if anyone has any details. When we asked during our interview we were told it was impossible. Instead of asking why (we were approved and didn't want to rock the boat) we decided to just accept her answer.

We got the 2-year green card in the mail yesterday. We started AOS in early August; I can't complain much regarding the speed of the whole process. Good luck to everyone else involved!

Good question. The wife and I had our interview in Chicago the week of Thanksgiving. We were approved but did NOT get the stamp. We are also planning on going to the UK on the 22nd of this month. I set up an info pass appointment on December 19th in case we don't get her green card.

I was told that the AP document is void once you are approved for the green card.

We got our welcome letter on Monday...and had our interview last Wednesday. We have tickets to the UK for December 22nd. Let's hope the GC comes before!

We got the 'Welcome to America' letter last night. We are hoping the GC arrives soon. We have a trip to the UK and plan on leaving on 12/22. We were approved for AP but I guess it's useless now that we've been approved for the GC. Any idea what happens if we don't get the GC by December 22nd?

Hi guys. The wife and I had our interview in Chicago yesterday. It took a little over 30 minutes and went smoothly. She asked us questions regarding name, SS#, address, birthdate, and wedding date. She asked for a brief description of how me met and took 3 pictures for our file. We also gave her a certified copy of our marriage certificate and joint mortgage, insurance, and retirement accounts.'

The wife did NOT get her passport stamped...but we got the following email by the time we got back to South Bend:
