The information on their website is not accurate. The medical examiner that my fiance booked with stated that an Appointment Letter directly from the consulate is required before the medicals can be done. I’m assuming that’s their way of confirming an approved case before they do the medical. However, since this is not an official part of the Nigeria process, so it’s not published on their website. My fiancé is also apart of a Nigerian K1 visa group that confirmed the same.

Thank you! We’ve already done the DS-160 and I’ve completed the I-134. My fiancé got his police certificate and paid for his medicals also, but his appointment was canceled because they said he needed the Appointment Letter, which we have been waiting for since our case was marked as Ready on November 5th. We also already have his documents (NOAs, K1-FTP, Proof of Relationship since filling, etc.) We have to wait on the Consulate to move forward. Since it’s been over a month since Ready, I’m not sure what to do to keep our case moving forward.

Hello! My case arrived in Nigeria and was entered as Ready on November 5, but my fiance still has not received the Packet 3 with instructions for scheduling his interview. Does anyone have a timeline on when we can expect the Packet 3 so we can move forward?
