  1. Hi everyone,

My fiance has been in AP for close to 7 months following his interview in Islamabad in April. Today, the Embassy requested that we send my fiance's complete, detailed CV. They indicated they needed this to help further process the case. We sent it right away, but are confused about what this may mean. Has anyone been asked to submit their CV while pending administrative process?

Thanks in advance for any advice you may have!

  2. Congratulations I hope you hear something real soon. (F)

YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH i got the call today at 1:30pm from U.S. embassy guy said ur visa is ready send ur passport as soon as possible.....

I prey for all on AP to get thier visas soon.

CONGRATULATIONS, LIBERAL, ON GETTING THROUGH AP!!

MY CASE HAS BEEN IN AP FOLLOWING INTERVIEW IN ISLAMABAD IN APRIL 2008 AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT NUMBER AT DOS YOU HAD USED TO GET INFORMATION. I HAVE ONLY CONTACTED THE EMBASSY IN ISL, BUT WOULD LIKE TO BEGIN FOLLOWING UP WITH THE DOS NUMBER IN THE US AS WELL.

SAFE JOURNEY TO US, AND CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN !!!

  3. Hi everyone,

My fiance had his interview in Dakar on April 29th and was put on AP. We were actually handed a receipt to come take the visa the following week. As we were getting into a taxi the guard called us back and the officer told us that additional processing was required. I have since determined, through my Senator's office, that (looking on the bright side) our relationship has been verified and all of our documents are in order, but that he is on AP for mandatory security clearance procedures. I realize that this is somewhat of a black hole with a lot of possibilities, but I'm looking for people in the same situation to get some sort of idea of how long it's taking. We know of one other Guinean who interviewed in December for an artist visa, was put on AP for security clearance, and had his visa by March. Anyone else from any other consular posts in the same situation?

My heart goes out to those that have been waiting a lot longer than we have...

    Hi,

My fiance's interview in pakistan was also on april 29th, and we are still pending administrative processing. we have heard the process can take 6-12 months.

best of luck - waiting for the security clearance is so difficult!

    Salaam Alijan,

My fiance had his interview in pakistan on 29 April 2008, and our case is still pending administrative process. we have heard that this process can take anywhere from 1-12 months. for us, close to five months have already passed without any news.

best of luck - waiting out this process seems like the most difficult part.
