My father's case was completed by NVC on 10/4/2012 and forward to Guangzhou embassy. Does anyone know how long does it take for the embassy to contact us? The NVC letter stated not to contact the embassy and check the bullentin board for the case priority date, but the board doesn't have any information on IR-5 cases.

We used one cover letter for both and put both petitions in one envelope. So far they are being processed together I think. We used separate checks and separate evidence for each petition.

When did your parents received the package from GuangZhou after the completion of NVC case (9/18/2012). Your parents has the interview on 11/1/12, they must received the package or somthing from Embassy prior to 11/1. My dad's case was completed at NVC on 10/4/12, but he has not received anything from embassy yet.

The USCIS also said that I can file 130 and 485 at the same time if my parents are in the US right now. is it true?

you have to submitt the I-130 form first

heres the requirements

copy of your naturalization cert or us passport

copy of your birth cert

copy of your mom or dad birth cert

copy of your mom or dad marriage cert

fee $420

if I miss something I'm sure somebody will add

and also go to uscis website and look at the I-130 form there is an instruction there also it might help you

Hi, I am new at this. what are the steps to apply green card for my mother. the uscis web said use form I-485, but I see all of you have I130? kind of confused.

I just brought my letter. I don't think I even had my passport with me but had my green card in my wallet. My appointment was at 9am but I was late. There was no queue and I was seen to fairly quickly. Turn up a few minutes before 10am perhaps it is different at the other service centers.

We have our appointment this weekend at 10am. Do we have to go there really early wait in line? or if they say 10am, we will get our turn at 10am? what do we need to bring besides the NOA and green Card (maybe passport)?

can I travel with the NOA1, receipt Notice.

It just said that "your condiontal resident status is extended for one year... during the one-year extension you are authorized employment and travel"

it never said something like "this notice can used as the proof of this extension..."

we have just got the ASC appointment notice. our appointment date is 6/16, which is a Saturday. Is it a mistake or do they really work on the weekends?

I will have hold green card for 5 years at the end of September. So I can file my application of naturalization at the end of June. Can I pay the old fee of $ 330 instead of the new fee of $ 675?

I just got a letter is in blue paper. It says that it is a Finger print Receipt Notification (This is not a bill). The application number does not work in uscis.gov, it also says that We have collected the fees for Fingerprint fee and I-751. There is no date when to take the fingerprint. Has anyone got a such letter? I am suspecting it is a receipt just saying that they have cased my check.

they finally cashed my check after almost one month. I seemed to recall someone mentioned that the numbers on the check is not real receipt number (I checked both, i got two EAC # on my check, neither one turned out to be the real number). Anyway, when should I expected our notice?

I sent in my application on the 14th and they received it on the 16th. But nothing in the mail yet, and the checks have not been cashed.

I filled my the same day as you and they also received on the 16th. My check was not cashed neither as of today.

I checked usps.com, they have received the package, but my check was not cashed by uscis. This is 4/27 already, does anyone know how long do they take to cash my check and start to process my application and receive my notice?
