Hello, My partner is currently completing medical training on a J1 visa and resident of Turkey. They have a 2 year home requirement upon completion of training, but based on what I read there is an option to apply for waiver with a no objection statement from their home country. I am curious to hear if anyone has experience with this process and specifically with Turkey. Is this a feasible option to pursue for adjustment of status? The hope would be that I can petition for green card after marriage, but my understanding is that they would still need to complete home requirement without a waiver when going through this process. Any advice and experience would be much appreciated.
