  1. Hi! How's everyone?

I want to report my marriage in PI Consulate

and renew/amend my passport at the same time.

Do I have to appear for the passport renewal/amendment?

I am living here in Texas and the consulate is in LA, California.

I tried calling the PI Consulate this morning but I couldn't get hold of

anybody. 'Need to get these done before April 1.

    Thank you for your replies.

    Sincerely,

    Mharms

  2. Hi Guys,

Well as luck would have it the USEM actually sent out the wifes visa package, took 11 days including weekends and holidays..In our case, I thought when we were refused the pink, we had more woes to come, but if ANY of you get a "white slip" after the interview, specifically for NBI aka verification, submit the paper as fast as you can back to USEM..and you will get your visa...hopefully sooner than later. I was expecting to wait weeks, but it was pretty quick...not that every situation is the same. My sincere thanks to all who helped me out when I was out of answers..There is defintely some cool, funky smart people here in VJ....Continued success for all of you still in the journey...God Bless you all..it does take alot of patience...hang in there all..

    Oh, that's good news!

    Congratulations.

  3. If you have a greencard, the EAD is no longer valid. You use your greencard for employment.

Before your 2-year "conditional" greencard expires, you will need to file for Removal of Conditions to get a 10-year greencard.

    Here's the guide: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=751guide

Thank you very much Eric-Pris for the very prompt reply.

The guide really is a big help.

  4. I appreciate y'all's responses.

We will be leaving in October this year

and I already have my tickets (name printed

    as what's in the passport).

Maybe I just have to get an Affidavit of Identity

    because I am afraid the

process for the report of marriage and

    passport amendment will take long.

  5. Hi all,

I would like to ask if it is okay to travel back to the Philippines for a vacation

even if my Philippine passport is not amended yet to my married name?

My passport will expire year 2012. Is there gonna be a problem with my

exit and entry back here in the USA or to and from the Philippines?

Can anyone with the same situation share their experience?

Your help and response on this matter will be highly appreciated. Thank

    you so much.

    Sincerely,

    Marly

  9. We currently live in South Bend, IN, and will have biometrics next week in Hammond, IN which is about an hour away.

Question 1: If we do end up having an interview, is it generally at the same place as the biometrics, or a different office entirely?

Question 2: If the interview will not be at the biometrics location, I am wondering if they will send us to Chicago (about 1.5 hours away) or Indianapolis (not sure exactly how far, but maybe 3 hours or so - definitely much further than Chicago). In other words, would they make us have an interview in Indiana, even if the location is further away than a city out of state?

Hopefully we don't have an interview at all, but just in case, I am wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation.

    Thanks!

For what I know, USCIS will state the service center location in their notification.
