    SMS text Visa will arrive Monday 4th Aug Finally!!!!!!!!

    I just got a text message after work to say my visa will be delivered on Monday 4th Aug , by sms courier service.

    I feel only now i can take a deep breath and relax , and actually talk about it!

    My interview was on 7th July , and although the guy said i was approved sending in W2 and 1040 ,which my SO posted to me on the same day (god love him).

    Then they sent back a DS 156 to be signed which i think i was meant to sign in front of one of the interview officers??

    I just couldnt be happy about it , was anyone else unconvinced it was actually happening until the received that little but very important thing in their passport??

    I have seen so many emotional sides to me i never thought existed!

    So..... now i have until 4th Sept to get myself sorted , oh and little matter of a going away party to organise!

    AND YOUR ALL INVITED! BECAUSE WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF ALL YOU GUYS I THINK I COULD HAVE WENT MAD!

    (MAYBE I DID A LITTLE)!

    I know this is not the end of the journey and more paper work is in front of me , but this that i feel right now is elation :dance::dance::dance::dance: and i wish you all the same on your journey

    I'm in love with a wonderful Scottish man. I find American men and Scottish men extremely similiar in many ways, even down to the football. I'd also like to hear some funny stories and even some cultural problems some have experienced. My funny story I suppose would be that everyone he spoke too in Tennessee asked him if he was Australian. Now it's a private joke between us and he'll say something to me like " well then again, you know I AM Australian" LOL

    Congrats! You have the same interview date as us. :thumbs:

    Must be nice to have the whole process move so quickly. I sent our petition on September 24th, 2007, right when the back up at CSC was the worst. Our NOA2 was given the day after you sent your petition, and we are moving quickly through the Guanzhou consulate compared to most others.

    Hi All,

    We have our interview tomorrow morning :) We are travelling from Edinburgh so we will be spending the day in London...

    Can anyone who has been to the Embassy please let us know if you can take a small bag (not rucksack) and mobile phones, and perhaps a camera (for our day out :))?

    We appreciate security will be tight, but as we are travelling so far, not being able to take a small bag (to hold the paperwork in) and our phones will be very hard!

    Please advise kind people :)

    im going to be travelling from edinburgh too , can i ask what airport in london you used??

    how did you send, or do you think you sent it? would there be a record?

    and how long ago? does the page you found have a date?

    sent back all documents required for p3 (well i thought)

    and tonight found ds-156 barcode last page thingy , you know the page that specifically asks you to send it!!!!

    but then again im not sure as i print off 3 or 4 copies of everything , i dont know if these are extras or what !! :bonk:

    I think im going mad...

    Anyway should i call and explain or send in 2 copies explaining my incompetence in a cover letter ???

    Which address do you use to send back P3? the one listed on embassy info 24 Grsvenor Square London W1A 1AE or the one printed on the IV15? visa branch 5 Upper Grosvenor Street London W1A 2JB?

    Oh I'm sorry you are still waiting so long lovely. Did we establish whether or not one had actually been sent yet? If we know it is processed/issued but lost in the mail maybe you could just bypass it if you have your receipt number from DoS or NVC? Is there actually anything in P3 that you need to return....anyone? If not you could just download the forms and send them back and we can just pretend that you have had P3?

    I hope that you get a solution soon hun. Maybe constant harassment is the way forward. Instead of sending another email maybe write them a letter and send it royal mail next day 9am ?

    Ok ..... now June 2nd , London apparently sent p3 2nd April!!!!! ( i thought waiting was normal procedure!) :bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk:

    Called , given code for email , emailed over a week ago , got auto response , told will reply 3-4 days , still no reply , given new code today , emailed again , again auto response , reply 3-4 days.. aaaahhhhhhhhh

    i would just like to thank nichnick for calming and helping me , and making me organised for the day it does eventually arrive !

    Has anyone else been waiting or is it just me?????? :help::angry:

    We scanned the entire packet 3 last Friday and I'm thinking you could just print your own if you wanted. I don't remember anything particular to our case except the cover letter that doesn't get sent back anyway. Your forms are all downloaded or completed online and printed. The only form they send is the medical checklist, which we have scanned. You can book your medical if you know your LND2008xxx number. Part of the packet is pages about the Knightsbridge doctors. And the phone number in that infomation is wrong. We had to get a number off the internet to finally get the call through to book it. London Packet 3 said revised April 2008 so it's a new version.

    Doctor info here is mostly the same as the packet info, except this phone number worked and there was a nice list of all the vaccinations.

    im updating a previous post , i/we contacted NVC and were told our case was forwarded to US embassy London on 26th March , so i would like to thank Bex and Julezabelle for telling me to phone the Embassy and find out what was happening , and i finally got through to today!

    Only to be told they sent out my P3 on 2nd April!!!!!!! This is 23 May!! And guess what i have recieved no packet! :angry:

    I thought all i had to do was be patient , that these things took a long time !

    So , was given a code to email all my details and request that P3 was sent again, now....... another period of waiting and hoping that the mail actually delivers!

    Anyone similar? did you wait a long time for secondary P3? Will this one actually arrive ? something new to keep me awake at night!

    If anyone else has similar timeline and like me is patiently waiting ....... a little too long call them NOW!
