  1. Actually it does mention K visa, below the second set of fee's and just above border fee's

K Fiancé(e) or Spouse of U.S. citizen category visa: $265.00

Holy eyeglasses, I guess I must be loosing my eyesight... How I missed that, I have no idea, but you are absolutely right. Nonetheless, I cannot find anywhere that specifies that you can pay in advance for K-1 visas. Maybe I missed that too, :P

My apologies for missing that, and thanks for pointing it out. I guess we'll have to pay up US$25 more.... Oy vey! :/

But hey, what's 25 more dollars compared to a lifetime of happiness with your loved one. I just hope they don't raise the fees for the I-485 (Adjustment of Status) that is already an abuse on people trying to legalize their status here in the US. But I guess we'll find out once we get to that point. I'm praying it stays the same.

    Good luck to all!

  2. Is there an official list of fees after 9/12?

Yes, there is, and somehow people are misunderstanding the facts. Here is the link of the new Fees that will take effect after September 12, 2014: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/fees-visa-services.html

There is no mention of the K visas at all. Also, each Embassy is different, for Brazilian embassy you do not pay until you go to your interview, so I don't understand why people keep misinforming others that they will pay in advance. That's not possible unless your case is already at your respective US Embassy's hands and they allow you to pay in advance of your interview.

Again, I have done research in all USCIS, State, and Embassy websites, and there is only mention of raising the fees for only a few types of Visas, which do not include any of the K visas.

People, relax, be helpful by giving information that you are 100% certain to be true. If you have no certainty, or if you read or heard it from someone else, do not give this information as fact until you prove it yourself. My fiancee was all confused and even worried about all these increases in Fees because she read it on here and people keep bringing it up. Please people, do your research before you try to help others on here. The point is to give people the right information and lead them in the right direction.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but it is important that people don't say the wrong information so that we all don't end up confused and even more agitated.

Thanks for your understanding, and I hope that I didn't offend anyone. If I did, my apologies, it definitely was not my intention. Just want to make sure people are providing others the correct information.

Congrats on your NOA2, I hope this journey continues to move along for all of us as smoothly as possible.

Best regards to all of you! :)

Boa sorte, e pode deixar, eu sempre atualizo meu Timeline.

    Abraco

  4. That is wonderful !! Congratulations!!

    Thank you! :)

April 1st here and it's like a joke :( I haven't got transferred and still waiting, I feel like crying every time I open Igor's List and see April approvals on TSC, but then figure out they were transferred. :(

Yeah it sucks a little I have not really been spending a lot of time on here kinda stopped when I saw all the transfers, hang in there our times coming and who knows we could get our approvals before some of these transfers.

Hang in there, it will come soon enough! TSC is finally picking it up, and I'm sure within the next week or so, all the early April filers will start getting approved. I know how you feel, and I pray that all who are waiting from earlier than May 2014 can get the great news within the next few days.

Best wished to all, even to those who got approved and now are waiting for the next step in the process to start moving.

  5. Congrats!! :dancing:

    Thanks!

Felicidades Alex! Hablo, falo espanhol e portugues tambem. I wish you all the best!

Gracias, eu tambem falo espanhol, portugues e Ingles. Wish the best of luck to you guys as well!

    congratulations :)

    Thank you!

To all those who are still waiting, don't loose hope, it will be over soon. I gave myself a detox from USCIS.gov and VisaJourney.com for about a month before August, and after that decreased the amount of time I checked both websites to once every two days. Trust me, it helps to detach a bit from this process and just enjoy your relationship whether it is through Skype, whatsapp, or visiting in person. Checking everyday, or every minute is not going to make the process go any faster, and it will just create more stress and anxiety which will frustrate the ####### out of you and your loved ones. I have read some reactions to people's comments that are flat out mean, and I try not to intervene since I understand everyone is just cranky with all this wait. But remember that no matter what, we are all in the same boat and we should put ourselves in other people's shoes before we judge them. We might not know what struggles each one of us is going through outside of this K-1 process. So be mindful of that, and think before you respond to people if that is the way you would like others to respond to you. I know there are some people that just seem like they don't have a clue, but remember that this is a forum to help even those without a clue. If you can't say something nice, then for your own sanity, don't respond. Let someone else lead that person in the right direction and make them understand what their ignoring.

Best of luck to all and may a plethora of NOA2 approvals show up from both CSC and TSC the next few days.

Big hugs all around (for those who want to receive it, if you don't like hugs, then how about a fist bump :luv: )...

  6. Great news... Just got our email with our Approval right now!!!! :dancing:

    NOA1: 02-Apr-2014

    Transferred to CSC: 11-Aug-2014

    NOA2: 29-Aug-2014

Congrats to all the recent approvals!!!! And to all the ones that haven't been approved, don't worry, your time is coming. We nearly got to 5 months, but I'm sure they are starting to pick it up at CSC with all the transfers, and TSC is really knocking them out super quick.

Best of luck to all and God bless!

  7. Received my Hard copy on 08/15/2014. Transferred to CSC on 08/11/2014. NOA1: 04/02/2014.

I'm very intrigued by the Vermont transferred. I think I saw another thread with someone else saying the same thing.

Whatever this means, at least we now know that we collectively made enough noise to make them make these changes to speed things up. Whether you got transferred or not (April/May filer or not), whether you are still in TSC, or whether you are a July/August Filer from CSC, just know that these changes will affect processing times for all of us, but it will make things better.

So let's stay positive and keep praying for one another. Best wishes to all!

  8. Received NOA1 on 04/02/2014. I'm from MA (not sure if location has anything to do with who was chosen for transfers) and my fiancée is from Brazil. Checked my status online at the USCIS website and got this notice: On August 11, 2014, we transferred your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), to your local USCIS Office for further processing.

We are hoping for a CSC transfer or a reopening of the VSC for those on the east coast. Good luck to us all! Stay positive and don't get too excited. We are all going to get approved eventually.

  9. Someone posted this on our April TSC Filers thread, and I think it is an awesome idea. I'm sure we've got enough people to start gathering virtual signatures to make our government take a closer look at what's going on between CSC and TSC, and all the discrepancies of the two. Please take a look at the petition... Read it, sign it, posted on your Facebook wall, Twitter, and any other social media outlet. Let's get it out there and get the help from our friends and family who are also there watching us suffer as we wait what it seems like forever to get our I-129F applications approved, while other US Citizen just like you and me, who just happened to live on the west side of the country just has to wait an approximate three months to get their interview.

For all of us tired of waiting on USCIS to do something about the inequality between the CSC and TSC... Let our voices be heard!

    Please sign this petition:

    https://petitions.wh...center/KD0H6yS4

Let's share this, and have USCIS make this process fair for ALL US Citizens, no matter where they live, no matter what country their Fiancee is from... We can do it, if we do it together!

  10. has anyone done this yet i am about to send one just wanted to make sure someone at least got through

I just did! Not that I expect anyone to do anything about it, but I still believe in the freedoms that this country offers me, and I wanted to use that freedom to voice my opinion. Hope more of us would do the same and at some point one of their readers would catch the trend and take it to someone with authority that can actually do something for the better good of this country; something like fixing archaic processes or distribution schemes that make no sense whatsoever and only hinder the progress of all these petitions that are just pending for months at a time.

Hold strong, and just know that one day this will all be over, and you will be with your loved one forever. This is just a test of your love for each other, and if you can get through this, your love will be that much more strong.

    God bless you all!

  11. Hello all,

I sent our package on March 27th, 2014, but received my NOA1 on April 2, hence I am an April Filer.

Wanted to start this new topic for TSC Filers, since it seems that CSC filers are getting quicker approvals, and TSC filers are waiting longer times (Except for a few REALLY lucky ones). Let's help each other cope with the anxiety and the nerves of the wait. I for one, come into VJ at least 5 times a day. I know that doesn't make anything go faster, but it keeps me motivated seeing others get approved daily.

If you want to feel free to share your story here, so that we can at least enjoy some nice reading while we wait. (Mine will come soon!) ;)

Good luck to all, and hope we all get approval soon (Praying for May or June!) :)

  12. WOOOHOOOO... We got our confirmation Text and Email! NOA1 letter will probably get to my mailbox next week. Excited!!! I was also routed to the Texas Service Center (TSC).

Congrats to everyone that has received their notifications. I have received a bunch of emails from Timeline updates of people that filed on the 26th and 27th of March, which means they are working on getting everyone from March entered into the system.

    Let's GO TSC!!!! Wooohooo :dancing::dancing:B-):dance::yes:

  13. Exactly! Everyone keeps me asking me and I said we just have to be patient.....it could take a long time and I am not going to get my hopes that it will take less. In my mind, I say "He will be here for Christmas I hope." That would be my goal! If it happens sooner, I will be thrilled but I am not going to count on it.

I am following yours as well. I'm glad to hear you are Dominican as well - he's from Constanza which is so beautiful! We are very close - I work in Weymouth and live in Rockland! :)

Crossing my fingers for good luck for both of us! ;)

Yeah, we are doing the same thing. We are planning ourselves for an October/November interview notice, and having her come here December or January. Anything before that would be a blessing! :)

Constanza is AMAZING!!! One of the most beautiful places in our country... Specially for nature lovers! Yes, we are close indeed. Live in Quincy, and work in Boston. I go to Weymouth all the time. Yes, lets keep our hopes and spirits up and positive. Things will be fast and smooth! :D

Got our NOA1, I think???? Just received a text which reads:

"USCIS: Your case was received. Receipt #. Official Receipt Notice to follow in the mail." Does that sound like an NOA1?? It didn't even say where/if they were forwarding it to.

    I'm confused.

I think it's the NOA1, but you won't get the actual paper until possible end of this week or beginning of the next. So, now you are just going to wait for the documents in the mail, and then start the clock on the NOA2. Good luck and congrats!

  14. We have received our NOA1 email & text notification too and ours is routed to California Service Center!! We are so so so happy of this progress hahaha!! Check is also encashed today :dancing: Cheers!!

Congrats PauPau! It must feel amazing! :) Enjoy this moment and just take it all in as you wait for the next step in the process. Cheers!

Ours was received Saturday as well......I'm trying to be patient but just tell me you got it already! ;)

Tell me about it! It's kind of bitter-sweet because you are excited about other people that mailed it close to the day you sent it getting their NOA1 notifications, and about waiting for that text to arrive and start celebrating the first victory, but then you are so anxious because you are afraid that if it takes longer than others it might mean something didn't go right. IT's a nail-biter for sure! :) But we are in this for the long haul, so let's trust the process, and help each other with the wait. Started following your timeline, feel free to follow mine so we know when we get our notifications and compare timing. Good luck!

P.S. I'm a fellow Dominican (I see your fiance es from my beautiful country). :)

  15. YAYY!!!!! I'M SO HAPPY! :D

We just received our NOA1! It's routed to Texas Service Center!!!! :dancing::jest::dance:

WOOOOWWW... Congratulations! I'm so thrilled for you both! It also makes me happy to see that you received it so quick. We sent it 2 days after you guys, so hopefully we'll get something by early next week!

Enjoy it, and then just relax and wait for NOA2.:dance:

  16. They received ours on sat. Also waiting on a hint lol they have their hands on it .

Great! I will be following your timeline. Follow mine, this way we'll know if their response time is similar. :) Good luck!

Good luck to all of you! Let's make sure we keep posting about the process, I'll let you know as soon as we get our NOA1.

I've checked where the applications have been sent to for the past few months and most of them are sent to Texas Service Center, so I'm guessing ours will be sent there, too. I'm not entirely sure, though :)

I will do the same. As soon as I get any updates (Texts, letters in the mail, NOA1/2, etcetera) I will let the forum know so that people can compare to their own timelines. Thanks for accompanying us in this Journey! ;)

  17. Hello everyone and good luck to all of you! :luv:

Our K1 package was delivered to the lockbox on 27th, and we're still waiting for our NOA1. :clock: Hopefully it'll be here next week! Fingers crossed!

Nice! Ours was delivered on the 29th (Which was a Saturday so I'm guessing they didn't get to it until Monday the 31st)... If all goes the way everyone has gotten them, we should have some news our NOA1 early next week. :) Good luck!

I just got an email and text notification tonight that there was a change in our case status....checked the USCIS site.....NOA2!!!! Our petition was approved!!! I'm so excited.....now it's on to the next step :dancing:

Wow, that must feel awesome! That was a fast approval! Congratulations! Hoping ours goes just as fast... Sending all my positive vibes and energy so that the K-1 process for your fiance is as fast in his country...

Best of luck to everyone else in this forum!

  18. It asked if you have ever filed any petition for any other fiance(e) or spouse, ever. It does not ask if you previously filed an I-129F. So, you must check yes, as you filed an I-130 for your previous spouse. Fill the info you know. Leave blank the info you do not know. The result of the petition was that it was approved and she received permanent residency.

Thanks so much for your answer! I decided to put pride aside and contacted my ex-wife and to my surprise she was very nice about it and gave me the info I needed. Thanks again for your input! Now, let's start filing! Wooohooo!

  19. Hello,

I'm actually not new to this site. I used you guys for my previous filing, which is exactly the reason for my question. I'm beginning to file an I-129F for my fiancee who lives in Brazil, and although I feel pretty confident I have everything ready and correct, I have one question that has stomped me. Part 1 - Question 14: "Have you ever filed for this or any other alien fiancé(e) or husband/wife before?"

Here is the background on the reason why I'm stomped:

I was married in 2004 to a Dominican national (from Dominican Republic, not Dominica the island), and obviously we had to go through the filing process as she was not a Legal Resident of the US. This is kind of the timeline of that relationship:

1997 - Met each other for first time

2002 - Started dating (Long distance relationship)

2003 - Got engaged (planning to do a civil wedding in the summer of 2004 in Elizabeth, NJ and the big church wedding in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic)

June 2004 - Got married in Elizabeth, NJ through a civil ceremony.

December 2004 - Due to some circumstances the Church wedding was moved to Summer of 2005.

    July 2005 - Church wedding

October 2005 - She came to the US using B-2 Visitors visa, but once here we decided to start an AOS process, so I filed an I-130, I-485 and all those other forms.

By June 2006 - Everything was approved (Interview went smoothly in May, 2006) and she received her temporary Resident Card.

June 2008 - Filed for Lifting of Conditions.

August 2008 - Due to irreconcilable differences we separated. However, still lived in the same apartment and actively went to couple's therapy to try to resolve the problems.

By April 2009 - All was approved and she received her 10 year Permanent Resident Card in the mail.

February 2010 - After many failed attempts at counseling and couple's therapy, I finally filed for divorce in Suffolk County, MA.

November 2010 - Went to court and she was a no-show and hence I was awarded the Divorce in MA.

January 2011 - Divorce became absolute.

Here is the timeline for my new relationship:

December 2012 - Met my current finacee in person for the first time in a trip to Brazil for a Wedding that I was attending as the best man.

October 2013 - After keeping in touch throughout the year, she came to visit and we started a relationship.

March 2014 - After 3 trips to the US for her (where she met my mom) and 2 trips to Brazil for me (Where I met her whole family), I asked for her parents' blessings and proposed to her.

I no longer talk to my ex-wife, nor do I want to, since things did not end up that well between me and her. So, in form i-129F Part 1 Question 14, I really don't know what to answer. Obviously, yes, I have filed for a previous Spouse before, but it wasn't an i-129F, it was an I-130. So that's my confusion, are they asking if I have filed for a I-129F, K-1/K-3 Fiancee visa for a previous Alien fiancee or spouse, or do they mean have I filed ANY other form for a previous Alien Fiancee or spouse?

In the case that it is ANY other forms (as in my case the I-130), then, is it very imperative that I have to put her Alien Number? My Ex-wife is now a US-Citizen and she has since remarried to another US Citizen, and I no longer have any of the Filing papers since she took all that paperwork with her. What do I do? I don't have very few of that information for Part 1 - items 14.a. to 14.h. And particularly 14.h is tricky, because even if I can get the rest of the information, what do I put as the result? "Approved Temporary Resident Visa"? or "Became US CITIZEN"? I NEED HELP!!!

Thanks for anyone who can shed some light, and pardon the long message, I tend to give too many details and talk too much sometimes! :P

    Regards,

    G.-
