I am still waiting....is there anyone who was transferred to CSC and is waiting also???

Is there anyone else left who filed in July and was transferred to California and hasn't heard a word since? I'm worried because the summary of my case on the USCIS website doesn't even state that it's IN California specifically, or what date they actually received it:Receipt Number: XXXXXXXX
Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.
The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done, counting from when USCIS received it. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. To receive e-mail updates, follow the link below to register.
In the login page, it says last updated September 23rd, but honestly it's been so long now and we've had so much to think about, I can't remember if that's when it was transferred or not. It's getting frustrating seeing all these people who filed months after us getting approvals while we're still waiting. I've been living off my savings since I moved here last March because as I said, they either didn't mail my work permit or it got lost in the mail and they refused to replace it. How much longer should I wait before we contact somebody? I really wouldn't know who to call or write to.
We are still waiting...I guess we are in the same boat.

Hello,
We had our case transferred to CSC in October...in looking at anecdotal evidence, we thought we might've had a chance at being approved in December. I know there isn't anything that sets that in stone, but we saw a lot of people who were approved not only two months after the transfer, but sometimes two months to the day.
So, we're just kind of checking in, we'd like to get an idea of anyone else who's gotten the CSC transfer and hasn't budged yet, or if others have.
We kinda think that maybe at this time of year we won't see jack, it is the holiday season after all...
Thanks!
We were transferred in August and still nothing. Hope this helps.

On November 18, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration [...] "
I guess this means we were approved without an interview? Thank you, transfer to CSC!
Someone confirm this in fact means my 2 year GC is approved and en route to me so I can jump up and down in happiness after a hard day!
I guess they had a busy day!!! :

Even thoughhe has his EAD, my husband has been told point blank that his lack of a green card has been a mitigating circumstance in his employment (or lack thereof). Many employers here look at the GC as the litmus test of employability.
I have wondered about this too. Whilst I have been able to obtain a seasonal cashiering job. I do wonder if the fact I don't have a green card has made employers, prefer those who do have a green card over me.
I know with one interview I had. They seemed to like me, until they realized I did not have a green card.
My husband was rejected because he didn't have the GC. We gave them copies of his SS card and EAD, but they said that they couldn't except him because of it. This is the reason that I really want him to get his GC because it is a good job.

My husband's AOS hasn't been touched since 8/5/08, that's when they received biometrics....
How long after filing can I make an inquiry? Could I make an Infopass even though the case hasn't been transferred to the local office?
I have been thinking about this lately. My case was transferred. I have read that it can take around 6 months. Is this true?
I just called because I am really busy (hahaha). The recording said that I could inquire about my case 180 days after it was transferred. I guess we will have to wait.

For people have been transferred...when do you expect to get your green card? I really want my hubby to get it soon.
-
He needs to travel to see his family who he hasn't seen for 9 years... when you say "you need to travel", how can we show them. When I submitted his case, I put the reason why he needs to travel.
A ticket or an itinerary is good proof, although there is no guarantee that he will get the AP in time. So make sure you book an exchangeable or refundable ticket.
For the July filers in general:
Is it me or has there been very little action (approvals) lately?
I was wondering the same thing. We have not heard anything from people who were transferred.
-
I have a quick question...
Darren's AOS was last touched September 23 (ostensibly arriving at CSC). We have heard nothing since. Is this a normal occurence?
My husbands was touched the same day and I have not heard anything either.

Question....my husbands SS card states that he needs authorization to work, does yours say that?
He is having trouble getting a job he applied for because they don't accept that social security because it has the text on it. He even showed them the EAD and they still won't take it. Isn't this weird?
Anyway, we went to the SS office to see what we could do and they said that they could only change the card when he gets his green card.
That's normal. Until the greencard comes, the SS card will be restricted, so he'll need authorization from DHS.
It's not normal that potential employers won't accept it with an EAD. An EAD is exactly what the restriction is asking for... DHS authorization. The EAD is issued by DHS (Dept of Homeland Security), it even says so at the very very top.
I KNOW!!!! I am so upset, but I guess it was not meant to be.
