  1. I filed I130 for my parents @TSC in November, 2017. I got approved for my Mom 3 weeks ago and it was sent to NVC. While I was waiting to get my father approval letter, today I got RFE asking for my birth certificate. I submitted the same birth certificate for both petitions. The RFE says: Submit the photocopy of my original birth certificate. Not sure whether its the IO did not see the certificate that was submitted during the initial application or was it misplaced and they are asking. I cannot think of possible scenarios because I submitted the exact same birth certificate for both petitions, one got approved, one required RFE. Are there anyone who has experienced the same situation? I am planning to send the same certificate again. Any suggestions would highly be appreciated.

  3. Hi All,

My parents hold B1/B2 visa, multiple entry valid for 5 years. They obtained it 3 years ago to come to US for my graduation ceremony but later they couldn't able to come to my graduation because of family reasons. Now they are planning to come US ( after 3 years of their VISA issuance date) to visit me and my sister. Both of us ( sister and myself) are US citizen now. I heard that my parents must travel to the US within 6 months of getting VISA, otherwise their VISA will be cancelled, is it true?? though their visa is valid until 2013 August. I looked state department website and many other sources, I didn't find any where that says such. And I am also going to Nepal and parents are coming with me. Do they need any invitation letter or any documents to show at port of entry besides valid visa? I would highly appreciate any help in this regards.

    Thanks!

  4. Hey Suraj,

it is actually very sad to see that you too are in the same situation as I am. I cannot believe that they play with our lives like this. It is very difficult to deal with this emotional stress. Anyways, I too will be sending a letter to CSC Director, first thing tomorrow morning. Let me know as soon as you hear anything from the officer at the local office or via any other correspondence. I will keep you posted as well. Let's keep in touch regularly until we resolve this.

Thanks again for sharing your story my friend.

    Hey Zypher,

Another funny thing about my case. I got another letter( dated May 9) today from the California Service Center saying that they are actively processing my case from the same office that wrote a denial letter on May 5,2008. Which letter do I believe? Anyways, keep on posting whats going on with your case.

    Hey zypher

Thanks for your posting. Yes these people play alot and make alot of errors we are not exceptional, the officer at local office also realized and admited it . I am also under alot of stress because of this unfair decision but we shouldnt let it go easily as we havent done anything wrong, its their fault . The funy thing is the case status online still shows that my case is pending and received as It was updated on may 15,2008 but my denial letter is dated May 5, 2008, another funy thing is I have got a letter from USCIS dated May 9, saying that they received my biometrics and my case is processing, How come same USCIS sent 2 different letter in two different issues, it is very controversy. Anyways, Did you call them and ask whats going on with your case? Or what does your case status online say? Does it say denied or pending? hope things will work out if not we should do something. Please keep in touch. I will post my outcomes and hope to hear from you also.

    Thank you!

  6. Zypher,

I am in the same situation. I got letter from USCIS, California Service Center yesterday. and another letter from USCIS saying that they received my biometrics and fingerprinting. I am so surprised. Today I made info pass and went to local office, the officer also got surprised, he told me that he is writing email and will call me when he gets response from USCIS, Service Center. I also made couple of calls to 1800 number but everyone gives different opinion. One said it is an error of USCIS, California Service Center. It is an error. I also sent certified mail to Director of USCIS, California Service center providing my affidavit( the receipt of my fingerprinting and biometrics and confirmation letter from USCIS). Let see how does it. I hope it should work because it is not my fault. It is USCIS error.

Please update your situations as we are in the same boat. lets fight with these people.
