    Someone on 'J-1 waiver helping hands' group on FB received waiver approval today. Filing hardship based on USC spouse, no government funding. Initial filing date of 12 Dec 2023, received RFE June 2025 and forwarded to DoS in October 2025.

    Yup, mine was filed Dec 2023. RFE - May 2025, forwarded to DoS Aug 2025. Still waiting. There's a recent approval 2 days ago though - also a Dec 2023 filer. I do not know this person or their situation at all, but I'm glad for them and it gave me hope.

    It seems like this thread is really not that active anymore, but hoping to find some friends who are still waiting. I filed on the basis of hardship in Dec 2023, got RFE May 2025, responded July 2025 and now just got forwarded to DoS. Govt. funding, so I'm feeling anxious about it. Been really hard emotionally and hoping that people here in the same boat would understand. Thank you.
