  1. You answered my question perfectly in your second sentence! Thank you! To elaborate, Yes. She is a Green Card Holder. On her last trip back to the states CBP suggested she request a Parole (re-entry permit) so that she could have the necessary required time to petition for her daughter, my grandchild. It recently was approved and she has two years to get everything done to get the child's visa approved. My concern was that she would not be approved due to economic circumstances. But if what your stating about us (the grandparents) co-sponsoring, then we should be good. Thanks again for your response.
  2. Thank you for your response. Question. Won't income play a part in the I-130 being approved?
  3. I sponsored my stepdaughter and she has her residency. She made the foolish mistake of having her child back in Colombia after getting pregnant. There were complications with her childbirth and was not able to come back to the states. The child is now 2 years old Once she was well enough to travel, she did so and upon entry, had to apply for a parole which was recently approved for two years. I've been looking at qualifications required for my stepdaughter to bring her child into the states, but she does not meet the financial part. Is there a way for the grandparents to sponsor the grandchild as well so that the mother and daughter can come back to the States? The father is out of the picture so, that's a non issue. I know this is a complicated issue and I have very little hopes of any type of solution. If anyone out there has gone through something similar, please let me know what I should look into. Thank you Fernando
