  1. | What about the I 864? I have 11 years of work experience here. Also have friends / family willing to sponsor us if needed.
  2. Thanks… No spouse unfortunately, yea I’m going to talk to another lawyer, just trying to avoid another consult fee for no outcome. Will def use a lawyer if we file. The I-130 instructions specifically say - “A legal guardian may also sign for a mentally incompetent person.”. So I’m hoping we are covered…
  3. Hello - I havent seen too many examples of similar situations so posting here. My child is a USC, 22 and mentally incapacitated. I have all the docs and I have full legal guardianship. I'm in the US on a work permit with her. When I read the I-130 instructions it kinda indicates that a legal guardian can sign. But then can I sign it when I'm the beneficiary? Legally she cannot sign anything, so I'm not sure if I should just sign this and send it? She can't even do the interview as she cannot speak, so I would just be going there alone. I did a lawyer consult, they said they would get back after checking and are no longer replying to me. Hoping someone has been through a situation.
