I’m currently in the process of helping my spouse immigrate to the U.S., and we recently became documentarily qualified with the National Visa Center (NVC). However, due to extremely long wait times in our original designated country, we’re considering requesting a case transfer to the U.S. Embassy in Thailand.
Has anyone here successfully transferred their immigrant visa case (specifically a spousal visa) to Thailand or another third country? I’m hoping to learn from others who’ve done this. A few questions I have:
How long did it take to get a new interview date after the transfer was approved?
Are there any helpful tips or things to avoid that you learned during the process?
