  1. Hello and welcome, To answer your questions.

    1. On the AOS paperwork, It allows you to list your husband/wife and im guessing the k2s are children so you would list them there anyone else im not sure.

    2. I entered aswell on a k1, And we waited 2 weeks to allow whoever to enter me into the system. And got my SSN card. Now it was required in my state to have a ssn to get married (required on the licence) but it diffrent in other states, check with your clerk of court.

    3. Times vary at diffrent centers. You can check those times at this website.

    Good luck.

  2. Hmm, I might have a problem. We moved in December. And with all that I completely spaced and forgot to file the change of address but we are still getting forwared mail from the old address. And we got my invterview notice that month, but have yet filled a change of address.

I am going to file it now, with a explaination. Am I going to be penalized for this?

My interview is a week away

  3. Thanks for your kind words, My immunizations were upto date at the time of the appt with the civil surgeon and are still currently uptodate. I will however bring my vaccinations from my doctor with me to the interview =)

Yeah, My husband and I have been waiting very patiently for this. He was starting to get aggavated with the waiting. I told him to calm himself and they were prolly going to send us something soon since we heard they have got situated with a new office and such.

GL on your interview Irish =)

  4. Woot! Today I received my Interview letter today in the mail. Finally after a year and 1 month we got a date.

Im sure ill be asking a ton of questions leading up to the interview, so here is my first one. As I wasgoing over the information they would like you to bring with you, 1 question strikes me as odd.

"A completed medical examination (Form I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope"

I received a rfe for this piece of info, do I need another medical?

Thanks for the help =) :luv:

  5. tygirl,

An LPR, with or without conditions, is employment authorized and in normal situations for most people can re-enter the country without issue after travelling abroad.

    Yodrak

See and that's what I "TRIED" to tell this lady, but she told me that I had to apply for a ead and then its transfered to the greencard when I am deemed a "lpr". So what you are saying is that I don't have to apply for a ead. (Since me and the hubby already agreed that If I don't want to apply and work I dont have too)

    ugh.

  6. Hi

Since my husband and I haven't heard anything regarding our case since our bio appt in march we called our congressman to see what was up. Since I live in Louisiana, New Orleans offices have been closed since the hurricane. My congressman informed me that they will be reopening the New Orleans office in June. However it may be another 6 - 8 months before they can get to our case. I was informed by one INS officer that we could wait untill our AOS interview was approved. The "conditional" greencard would allow me to work and leave the country to go home. Our congressman stated that this was not true, that I would need to apply for a EAD and that the EAD would forward onto my greencard so that I would not have to renew it all the time.

    Is this true?

The only reason we haven't filed for the EAD and the AP is because my husband went back to school and we couldn't afford it. We can now, but we have agreed that if I want to wait till the aos is approved to work we can still swing that option. If not, we can still apply for the ead/ap. It's just I really want to go home and see my family.

    Thank you for reading =)

  7. hi,

i'm traveling to korea to be with my fiancee on march 23 and she will come to the u.s. with me in early april.

i was wondering if there is anything i should do before i get on a plane and/or anything i should do before leaving korea to come to the u.s. for example.. documents needed for AOS process..

    any tips? thanks in advance.

I would worry about the AOS stuff after she gets here, just enjoy your moment.

But before you both return to the U.S, make sure she has her passport with her Fiancee visa in it, and if they gave her the big brown evenlope of doom when you get to immigration.
