2-Year Wait for IR-1 Visa Interview in Sierra Leone: Seeking Advice and Insights
Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out for advice and support regarding my wife's IR-1 visa application. According to the National Visa Center (NVC), all documents were submitted promptly and accurately, but it's been over 2 years since then, and we still haven't received a call for an interview.
Case Details:
Visa Type: IR-1 (Immediate Relative) visa
Priority Date: November 7, 2022
Current Status: Waiting for interview scheduling at the U.S. Embassy in Freetown
Foreign State of Chargeability: Liberia
Interview Location: Freetown
I'm concerned about the delay and wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues. What could be causing the delay in scheduling an interview? Are there any known issues with the U.S. embassy in Sierra Leone that might be contributing to the delay?
I'd appreciate any insights, advice, or shared experiences that might help me navigate this challenging situation.
Thank you in advance for your help and support!
