So far my spouse hasn't gone through the interview. But for her PCC I only submitted the Passport Office PCC to NVC because her passport was newly issued. No RFE was triggered, and my case was completed.

Spouse's birth certificate is in hindi. If I were to translate the document to send it to NVC does this need to be notarized?

Can a family member translate it and get it notarized?

Does anyone know exactly what you need to take with you when going to the passport office to request a police clearance certificate in New Delhi. My spouse lives far from the office and would like to be well prepared ahead of time.

I have heard that they try not to issue those certificates either, saying there is no such thing. Is that true?

How long does it take for them to issue this certificate?

I'm in the same boat as you. I called on July 21st to get my IIN number, which the operator gave. I paid that very same time. When I called back the auto response system says they mailed it on July 22. Today I called because my status shows not paid, and the operator said there is a problem because I paid before the bill was generated. I took a risk, and paid it again, even though the charge already hit my account on July 22. Let's see what happens

Yes, check your bank account to see if the money has been withdrawn and also, did u go back and print out the barcode?

The first transaction already hit my statement on July 22. Looking at people's timelines I assumed it only takes 2 days, and then the operator said I paid before it was generated which is another problem. So I guess I'm taking the chance by paying them twice. Now I'm thinking I was being impatient as it might have been one or two days more before I could print out the barcode sheet. Well, I'm hoping for the best, and a fast barcode sheet. I'll let you know what happens.

Have you checked with your bank to see if the payment cleared?

Looking at my checking account activity, the payment was already paid. So according to the operator i paid the bill before it was generated, and she needs to escalate blah blah. So I decided to take a risk and pay the 70 bucks again, after the bill has been generated. will check back on the site in two days. hopefully now i will be able to print a barcode cover sheet.

Ok, so I called the NVC center. The operator said the fee bill was generated on July 22. I had already received the IIN number on July 21, and paid on July 21. Now she says she has to forward the case to the supervisor to correct it, because they are still showing not received payment. Should I pay the 70 $ again, to correct it, or should I wait for them to correct it. Please help ! Has anyone paid a bill before it's generated?

Before the nvc automated voice response system even said the aos fee is generated, I had called with my nvc case number to obtain the IIN. Even though the operator said the system isn't working, I still used this IIN to pay my fee online. When i paid online I got a payment receipt showin "in process". When I logged in the next day, it shows as "not paid". It has been 3 days now showing "not paid". Looking at my checking account this transaction already hit my account. What do I do now? If i were to call the nvc center wouldn't they just say we told you the system doesn't work. Is this anyone else having the same issue?

By the way I paid on July 21, it's now July 24.
