  1. Thank you so much! I actually just found the pinned thread in the forum that states to contact them once a year and submit the DS-260 (not sure if I got the form right) to them within one year of getting the welcome letter. Thank you! I appreciate your response/confirmation. Ultimately, I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my husband and I moving back to the US because we do ultimately want to live here. As any of us know, the long distance is agonizing.
  2. I'm not sure what you mean but if I relocate, then we will be together and won't feel the same sense of urgency to get everything approved right away and move my husband over to the US. With the cost of emigrating to Europe and the job offer, I would certainly want to be there for more than a year to justify the cost, not to mention having the job itself.
  3. Hi, Right. I am not specifying the country out of privacy, but I am aware it is the individual country that issues the visa. If I move forward with the job and relocating, we expect to be there somewhere between 2-4 years, or within the parameters that we can relax over the processing time but still obtain the green card based on our initial I-130 (i.e. not dropping the ball at the NVC and having to start over).
  4. Hi all, I filed an I-130 for my husband in June 2025. Current estimated time to approval is 17 months per USCIS dashboard and then we would need to go through NVC, embassy interview, etc. so I imagine total time to approval for a green card and to come to the US is more than a year. I have an opportunity to accept a job in Europe and move abroad on a work visa and be with my husband while awaiting processing of the I-130. I have seen forums and information that once approved, his application can sit at the NVC for up to 2 years before it would be relinquished, I suppose. I believe I would also need to update USCIS if I move and provide them with my new address abroad. Please note I plan to maintain my home in the US and rent it out, as well as maintaining other assets state side so we have proof of domicile and intent to return to the US in a couple year's time. Is there anything else I am not aware of that could potentially impact his I-130 approval or visa application in general? Appreciate any information or resources anyone can provide or point me to. Thanks so much
