  1. Thanks again for confirming that Kinshasa is closed and that Kigali hasn’t scheduled DV interviews since March. Regarding Nairobi, you mentioned “one unconfirmed report that NRB has scheduled interview for July.” Could you or anyone else share more detail on that report? Was it someone who actually received a 2NL for July, or just mention of scheduling? It would really help those of us stuck in the queue to understand if July might finally see movement. Also, once I hear back from Kigali, I plan to consider other embassies (like Maputo, Yaoundé) as backups — but tying a transfer request with a hopeful sighting from Nairobi would help me decide. Thanks for your support — and I’ll keep checking the CEAC tracker eve ry day!
  2. Hi @Xarthisius, Thank you so much for this detailed and very helpful explanation. I wasn’t aware that Kinshasa was fully closed — that clears things up. I had high hopes for Kigali, but I understand now why they might not be able to help either if they haven’t scheduled DV interviews since March. I’ll monitor the CEAC Tracker as you suggested, and hope something moves soon. If I don't hear back from Kigali, I might try embassies like Maputo or Yaoundé as backup. And yes — fingers crossed that Nairobi really does start scheduling for July. That would be my best chance at this point. Thanks again! — Landry
  3. Yes, I have already sent the request to two embassies, currently the closest ones, including KIGALI and KINSHASA, so I will hear their follow-up so far.
  4. What solution do you suggest for my case? Since I am really overwhelmed, I don't know what to do at the moment. My mind is tired. I am starting to regret how I could have chosen Nairobi as the meeting point for my case. It's really dragging on for a solution that could change my situation. I am interested. Help me please. 5. Hello everyone, I am Landry, a DV2025 selectee from the AF region with case number. My case number became current in January 2025. I submitted my DS-260 early, all supporting documents were accepted, and the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) confirmed on March 21, 2025, that my case was completed and transferred to the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi for interview scheduling. Since then, I’ve sent multiple emails to the Nairobi embassy (April 15, May 14, May 28, and June 5), but I have received no response at all — not even an acknowledgment. I also escalated to LegalNet and recontacted the KCC, who once again confirmed that Nairobi is now responsible and that my file is ready for scheduling. To make matters worse, one of my required documents — a police certificate from Goma, DRC — is now close to expiring. Due to the ongoing conflict in eastern Congo, getting a new one would be very difficult. I am currently residing in Burundi and fully prepared to attend the interview at any time. I am growing very concerned that time is running out and that my chance may be lost due to administrative silence. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with Nairobi or any other embassy? Is there anything else I can do at this point? Any help, advice, or shared experience would be deeply appreciated. Thank you in advance! — Landry Burundi (Originally from Goma, DRC)
