Hello, When the NVC sent you the case number, was it with your packet 3 or a different email. I also got an email on 5/20/2025 with my case number. How long after receiving your case number did it take to receive the packet 3 email? Did you wait to submit your DS-160?

Oh okay, thank you so much! So there will be no invoice number and we don't have to upload all of our documents to the CEAC? We can just go ahead and do the DS-160, pay the fee and schedule the appointment? Or what communication will we receive from the embassy before then?

Yes at the top it has K1-FTP and has a case number, but I was under the impression that we also needed an invoice number?

Hello everyone, My fiance and I were notified that our case was approved by the USCIS on March 6th and the Case was sent to the NVC on April 11th and then on May 20th I received an email from the NVC stating that they received the case and the case was created with the NVC on May 1st. Then on May 21st I received a notification that the case is in the ready status with the NVC. Do we have to wait for the NVC to send the welcome letter before we start doing the DS-160 and paying the fees and scheduling the interview, or can we go ahead and start that process? How long does it usually take to receive the NVC welcome letter because I do hear a lot of varied answers? Also does anyone know about how far the Bogota embassy is booked out till for K1 Visas?
