Sorry for your loss. Yes, as @appleblossom stated, you need to send USCIS a copy of the death certificate, then your I130 will convert to an I360.
Condolences, and Good Luck!
Could not find where to send death certificate. We applied in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam embassy and consulate for I 130. My husband died in Vietnam and the HCMC embassy and consulate issued a certificate of death abroad. Currently in US on tourist visa.

My I 300 visa was pending at the time of my husband's death. UCIS website says it will be automatically converted to I 360 widow status. I did not receive any notice of this. I tried to check status and received notice that I was not entitled to this info. Which I took to mean that only my husband as sponsor can get this info. But sadly, he can not since he is dead. Seems like when I requested status I was not converted to widow yet. When I check status, it gives me the notice again of not being entitled to info. One question is, should I have received a notice from DCIS that my status was changed from wife to widow and would that generate a different receipt number?
It will be a year since the I 300 was received. Thank you

The I- 130 was pending when I became a widow . What Is NVC? WILL try the consulate. USCIS is no help.
