  1. Hello all, My parents and I are in the process of applying/receiving an immigration visa. After we did our interview, we got a refusal under 221(g) and were required to submit additional documents. Later, we received this letter below which I have attached to this post. For context: My mother is the principal applicant and my father is the spouse. I am considered a dependant as I was a minor when we began our application. Additionally, all 3 of us currently live in Canada (permanent residents) but are Chinese citizens, which is why the letter references "Canadian police certificates". My confusion is surrounding the information in each of the 3 bullet points in the letter. In the 1st and 2nd bullet point, it mentions that all applicants should submit police certificates and medical examinations. However, in the 3rd bullet point it only explicitly mentions the principal applicant and spouse to get police certificates and examinations. Then it goes on to say that passports for all applicants should be provided. So I am confused because based on the 3rd bullet point would that mean I am excluded from providing the police records and medical examinations? (since it only mentions principal applicant + spouse) Or should I go off the information in the first 2 bullet points and assume that I need to do the same as my parents? Thank you very much everyone.
  2. Thank you both for your help. Do you know how long it generally takes to receive the visa after submitting the documents (health records, passport, police records, etc)? I am wondering because I would need to know how long to take off work to go back to China. Thanks again!
  3. Hello everyone, I am a dependent of my parents for an EB-2 visa. We are Chinese citizens but I currently live and work in Canada and am a Canadian Permanent resident. Last year, we went to the Guangzhou, China consulate for the visa interview and received a slip for administrative processing. We were told to submit additional documents, as we did not receive our visa and were refused under 221(g). After we submitted our additional documents, we recently heard back from the consulate. They have told us to submit our passports, along with new health checkups and police reports, to the CITIC Bank in China. 1. I wonder if this means we were successful in our application and will receive our immigration visa? Or will we be required to go for a visa interview again? 2. I am curious if at this point, it would be worth it to transfer my case to the Montreal consulate? This way, I could do my health check-up and get all my documents here in Canada rather than having to travel back to China to do everything. Or would this make the whole situation more complicated? 3. Does the address on the DS 260 need to be current? Is this the address where the green card would be mailed if i were to be successful in my visa application? Asking because the address I had indicated is no longer valid. Thank you everyone!
  4. @VRGI am wondering how it went for you? Have there been any updates since you last posted - have you been able to do the interview yet? I am in a similar situation for myself (based in Canada) but case is at a Chinese Embassy. Curious if I were to do a transfer how long it'd take. Thanks!
