  2. Hello, My wife is a U.S. citizen. She was born in the U.S. and lived there from age 0 to 4. We have already received approval for the I-130 petition, and we are currently living outside the United States as we begin the NVC process. Since we are living abroad, my wife does not currently have U.S.-based income to report on Form I-864. However, I am retired and receive a military pension of approximately $50,000 USD per year from the country we live in. Can I use this pension income on Form I-864A as a household member, and do you think this will be accepted by NVC? We do not have the option of using a joint sponsor, so this is our only financial route. In addition, we have about $150,000 USD in savings (not held in a U.S. bank). Thank you!
