Context: I (petitioner) recently noticed I signed my form I-129f with my nickname instead of my legal name (Kate and not Katelyn, some might laugh at how minor that seems but I've more recently had a legal hiccup with my employer because of this so it's worth looking into). I thought it wouldn't be a huge deal until I realized I had also neglected to put my legal name in the "Additional names used" box. They will still be able to see my full legal name on my birth certificate, and I have evidence of me using both names, but I've become paranoid nonetheless about it being absent from my application.
I've read a few older posts on this forum (think 2012-2013) from people with similar questions, and most of the responses say something to the effect of: "wait until you get your NOA2 and correct it at the interview stage, or wait until you get an RFE and correct it from there, don't call USCIS because they won't be able to help you".
That should be a source of relief for me, but my main question hinges on if these posts from 2012-2013 are still apt when expecting results from 2025's USCIS. Should I expect more scrutiny from them now and take action now to avoid a rejection/denial?
Any advice is appreciated.
