  1. The responses they send are very generic. Mine said it was in “ready” status and ready to schedule an interview. Then we received our packet 3 via email that said very big and bold at the top. DO NOT SCHEDULE YOUR INTERVIEW OR MEDICAL EXAM so… I’m glad I didn’t end up doing that. Now we are just gathering everything needed for the packet 3 checklist.
  2. @Violet13 Oddly enough, I received an email from the consulate/embassy about an hour ago. This was the “packet 3” which included the checklist and list of things to do before scheduling the interview/medical. To give you an idea, NVC forwarded our petition to the consulate on Feb 26, and today April 2, I got the email. It will probably be another 7-10 days before my fiance receives it in the mail.
  3. @Violet13 I am right there with you. However, I went on our embassy’s website to try to schedule an interview and received multiple warnings like “if you have not received” I can’t remember exactly what it was now, but we had not received it, so I didn’t schedule it. We did go ahead and fill out the DS160 but did not submit it yet. Just make sure you write down your application number and security question and you will be able to come back to it. I just sent an email to the embassy yesterday asking if they have received our case. I have not heard back yet.
  4. I’m referring to the checklist you are to receive in your welcome packet from the consulate/embassy. We have not received it yet. But you can find the checklist online. i understand we have moved past the NVC at this stage.
  5. Sorry for the delay! In the CEAC tracker I used the immigrant case status. I entered the case number, NA for the passport number, and I entered the first 5 characters of his last name. I was getting caught up because his late name had a space in it. So my 5 characters were Van W, Hope this helps!
  6. 100%! 🤦‍♀️ Still not sure what to do next. I guess we will go ahead and start his DS160 and wait for our Packet in the mail. I have read some people go ahead and send the stuff from the checklist in before they receive the packet... but we have waited so long, we are afraid to make any mistakes at this point.
  7. Thank you! I have tried both the non immigrant and immigrant. When I put the information in the non immigrant section it just tells me it’s an invalid case number. But I just tried to look at it again and finally got something to pop up! His last name has a space in it. I guess they count the space as one of the letters.
  8. I received an email on Feb 26 advising that the NVC received our approved I-129F petition and will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Montreal, Canada. I have read multiple things that are leaving me confused. 1. I am unable to check the status of our case online. It always says "Your search did not return any data". I have tried putting NA in the passport number field and the name field, I've tried filling it out completely. I've tried just putting NA in the passport field. Still same results. 2. Can someone please confirm the correct link to check the status of a K1 Visa as it seems to be different than other visa's? Maybe I am just in the wrong place? lol 3. Should we be waiting for the letter from the embassy/consulate with the check list, etc before we file the DS160? I have read things that say to wait and I have read things that say to go ahead and file. We are 2 weeks away from one year from our petition being received. Best of luck to you all, in love and quick processing times! Thank you in advance for any assistance ☺️
