    So I will get married to a US citizen soon. He will visit me for the wedding then goes back to the US while I wait in my home country until I get the visa. I want to apply for a job in September that sponsor either J1 or H1B visa, Would this be legal?

    We are planning to have our wedding in my home country, then he will go back to the US while I stay in my home country while waiting for the spouse visa process. Meanwhile, I'd like to travel to take an exam that will allow me to get a job in the US in the future. Also I'd love to spend time with him. Even though it'll be a very short visit(about a week) because my job is very strict with time off. Would this be legal?
