  1. Keep doing a PI to NVC with your I-797 approval receipt number in order to get your case number. Include the need to change the embassy to Casablanca. The following is what I found on travel.state.gov: How do I transfer my Immigrant Visa case from one embassy or consulate to another? If you would like to transfer your Immigrant Visa (IV) case to another embassy or consulate, please follow the steps below: If your case is at a U.S. embassy or consulate, contact the potential gaining U.S. embassy or consulate in writing to request a transfer of your case. Please include a justification for the request. If you are not a resident of that country, specify that in your request. If your petition is being processed at the National Visa Center (NVC), contact the NVC to request the transfer. NVC will transfer cases to another IV processing post if parties provide a written request along with the address in the requested country and the proof of eligibility (citizenship/legal residency in the requested country or other documentation). This can be provided at https://nvc.state.gov/inquiry. In limited circumstances, NVC may need to contact you for additional eligibility requirements. Note that transferring your case might not result in immediate processing as cases are processed in order based on the date the case became documentarily qualified. If you are requesting a transfer for a K Visa, the receiving Embassy or Consulate has the discretion to approve or deny the acceptance of a K visa application from an applicant outside the consular district. Contact the potential gaining U.S. embassy or consulate in writing to request a transfer of your case and include the reason for the transfer request. If you paid the MRV fee at the original post and the transfer request to a new post is subsequently approved, a new visa fee will be required.
  2. I had the same questions as you. My fiancé joined this group on FB which helped him in his native language. Besides, he can only pay cash at the CashPlus in Casablanca. Paying online with www.ustraveldocs.com is a nonstarter. You must pay in advance. If you show up to the interview without paying then they will turn you away for non-payment. CashPlus will know what to do once he shows up with the reference number and cash. Keep the receipt and add that to the documents he will need for the interview. Have your fiancé join the group.
  3. Thank you. This is very helpful
  4. Thank you. This process is so convoluted
  5. All...I received the following from the NVC inquiry: "The National Visa Center (NVC) has received your petition from U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services. Your NVC case number is XXXXXXX. Due to your petition type, you will not receive a request for fee payment or document submission." Does this mean I do not do anything with CEAC? Do I now have to wait for them to send my petition to the embassy? I tried logging into the CEAC and it asked for an invoice number. I am so confusion.
  6. Also, do you know if the interviewer in the embassy a Moroccan or US? I figured it would be an American State Department employee. Where do you get your numbers? I've been searching how many K1s the embassy approves a year but with no luck.
  7. So I went to the embassy in casa to get their stamp. I had planned to come back a couple months later to get married in Maroc. But a woman at the embassy looked at my paperwork and asked me if I was starting the process immediately. I told her no and she said the stamp was good for immediate processes (or something to that). She then wrote on a sticky that a K1 would be faster for us. He understands the timeframes. I understand the fees. We plan to do a lot of domestic, driving, trips before he can legally work and drive. I have dogs, he loves dogs. So they can keep him company in the meanwhile. IF he does get denied, then I will take time off from work and start the process there. We are currently at 300 days since NOA1. Waiting on NVC to get the approved petition in order to get the case#.
  8. There is an age difference but I am still of child bearing age. His whole family accepts and approves me. He is highly educated, as am I. He has been working in his field for over 10 years. With that being said, is 56 a good number for the U.S. Embassy in Casablanca? I went to the U.S. Embassy once to inquiry (and to get the notary) about getting married in Morocco but the kind lady recommended I go through the K1 process as I would have to spend 30 days in the country in order to complete the process. No breaks.
  9. Done. Finally says K-1! Thanks for the assist

  14. For some reason the system won't let me change my visa type. I an doing an K1 visa for my fiancé
  15. I am the petitioner. Thank you for the information but this is disheartening
  16. 10 years to get a visa?!?!?! I am so confused. I've seen other people wait 18 months and of course longer
  17. So assuming F1, what is the Priority Date and which country were you born in?: K1, May 2025, and Morocco
  18. It states on the NVC website: "If a visa is not available because of statutory limits on the number of visas, NVC cannot schedule your interview." Does anyone know the number of visas granted to each country by the U.S.? Or a website that might have that information?
