  1. Hello Friends! I was verbally approuved today after my interview and I should get my passport back in the mail in 5-10 business days 🤗
  2. To book interview for Montreal you only need to email them your DS-160 confirmation page, the signed checklist and canadian police report. You don't need to scan the other documents on the checklist, but you need to bring them to your interview. I also don't have the original birth certificate of my fiancé the petitioner, he only has one copy and it was a pain to get from his home country lol. He would kill me if I were to damage or lose it 😂
  3. May 20 (CASE NUMBER) : My fiancé, the petitioner, received our case number (MTL2025xxxxxx) by email in the NVC welcome letter. May 23 (READY 1): I saw on CEAC that our case was READY at Montreal. June 2 (READY 2): I saw on CEAC the same READY text but with an updated date. Starting this moment, you can gather package 3 documents and email Montreal consultate. Hope it makes sense, on K1 fb groups and forums they call it READY 1 and READY 2. Don't wait for Canada Post. I scheduled my interview and everything and still haven't received package 3 by mail. Maybe some time this week? Honestly, if it wasn't for this awesome K1 community, I would be so lost lol. Where are you at? Do you have your case number?
  4. Hey, sure I personally did not wait to receive montreal package 3 instructions by mail after "NVC left" notice to start moving forward, because of canada post delays (some fb group trick that other K1 girls told me). You can easily type "K1 package 3 Montreal instructions" online and find the exact pdf they are going to send you anyway. If you log in often to CEAC with your MTL2025xxxxxx case number and see that your "READY" last updated date changed (mine went from May 23 to June 2) that means the package is on the way and you can email them directly what they will request (scanned DS-160 confirmation page, scanned documents checklist checked and scanned canadian police report). Please make sure that you have the correct canadian police report. I had to redo mine (wasted 90$ CAD) cause it had my picture and fingerprints on it and what they want is a full privacy act record with mention "other - provide details". The fingerprint place should know what to do. You can find instructions online. Following that email, Montreal consulate will reply to you by email with package 4 (mine was 1 business day later! super fast) with instructions to book interview and medical exam. Do not book medical or interview before receiving package 4. They will cancel your appointments with no refunds. We did not previously have to pay anything to NVC for all they did, you pay one time online with the consulate with your credit card on the same portal where you will book your K1 interview. It's one fee for everything (about 390$ CAD). Let me know if you have any questions
  5. Hi guys! My fiancé and I finally figured out how Montreal consulate works and my interview is mid July 🥳
  6. I pressed for service in french and she picked up right away maybe that's why 😂
  7. I just called Montreal consulate and told the lady I have a case number and a ready status in CEAC, what should I wait for? And she said NVC instructions not Montreal. This is so confusing
  8. I guess I am waiting for a welcome letter from Montreal cause I don't have this to move forward. Right ? :
  9. My fiancé and I are now stuck at the "Ready" CEAC status since May 23 with no news from my consulate yet. Sometimes you gain time and lose some elsewhere 😆 I hope that all of us skipped batch couples can be reunited by August/September 🙏
  10. We did get K1-FTP pdf with our case number and that's how we were able to login with CEAC and see that it's "Ready" status at Montreal consulate, but no instructions or invoice number to pay the fees yet. I guess we shall just wait a little more.
  11. Edward, I just checked the CEAC Case Tracker (I did not know it was a thing) and was surprised to see that our case has been at the Ready status since May 23! We didn't get any mail or instructions? Should we wait before doing anything? I mean, I can find the instructions for Montreal online but I'm afraid to move forward. Thanks
  12. Hi Edward, apparently no. But anyways, if I am not mistaken we are done with NVC now and I just need to wait for the instructions package from my consulate? And that comes by mail correct? When do I file the DS-160? When I get the instructions package? Thanks
  13. Hi friends, just letting you know that my fiancé (the petitioner) got an e-mail today that our case was received at NVC (8 weeks after I-129F approuval) and that our case is being transferred to Montreal consulate. No physical mail for me yet. I'm worried about the upcoming Canada Post strike tho.
  14. Hello "approved" friends! Any news for the next step with NVC? We are approaching the 4 weeks mark. Thanks
  15. Hi guys! Been a silent public viewer of this thread for a bit and I just created an account as a thank you to let you guys know that we got approuved today! My fiancé is from Minnesota and I'm from Canada. We sent our documents July 1st and they received it July 3rd if that helps anyone 🤗
