  1. Hi,

As I mentioned before, we are living in apartment and may live here for another 6-8 months. I am confused that should we change our address to this apartment address (USCIS still have my parents address on file-Chicago).

Another problem is that if I keep my parents address on file and then we file to remove condition from GC for my husband and in case we have appear for an interview it will be in Chicago, is that right?

What should I do in this situation? change my address to this temporary apartment address or leave Chicago address?

    Please advise

  2. The sponsor changes address via regular mail with the I-865

The AR-11 online >>> https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa (search box on the USCIS website is your friend)

No need to include a note. You can print the AR-11 and mail to the Kentucky address as well to make doubly sure.

We changed our addresses a year after we moved. No issues.

    Hi,

Did you put the wrong date of move or original date (ater one year)?

What documents you need to provide to support the change of address?

    Thanks!

  3. Hello,

    Thanks everyone for reply.

I am still not clear about one thing. I have found AR-11 (for my husband who is on conditional GC) and I-865 (not sure about correct form- for myself, US citizen) in order to change address.

Can someone please make it clear for me?

    Also,

I could not find any place on USCIS website to submit AR-11 form online even though it says everywhere that you can submit online. So, if someone can please put the link where my husband need to submit AR-11 form.

  4. Hello,

I really need help on this.

I am US citizen and my husband got his conditional GC from Chicago. We orginally filed from Chicago and moved out of Chicago long back (alomost Year and half) and have not changed our address with USCIS. My parents are still at Chicago address.

Now it is a time to remove condition from my husband's GC. My question is that DO WE NEED TO CHANGE ADDRESS WITH USCIS NOW?

Also, Do we BOTH need to change address by separate forms? Which forms?

I also heard that you don't need to change address but when you submit I-751, submit the from your new address and USCIS will send you notification on new address?

NOTE: We have to send I-751 in March 2010, so I may have some time left to change the address, if needed. The problem is that it is way over 10 days since we moved out of Chicago address.

    Please advise.

  5. Hello,

We had our interview yesterday. It did not go well :(

IO had problem with why we haven't informed them about our move? In first two min. she refuesed to interview us and said that she'll send our file to our new state but we made her understand that we live in Chicago and use parents address as primary address and our move is just temp. base.

She went out with her assistant, came back in 2 min. and asked us where would we like to get our green card? New address our parents address. We said parents address and again she went in detail and asked lot of questions to my husband (those yes and no questions) which he answered correctly.

Then she asked us if we had big wedding ceremony? We said no due to our financial situation we had small ceremony. We brought two photo albums but she did not want to see any pictures.

At end, she said we'll notify you the stauts of your application via mail. I asked her how long it will take, and she said within a month..

    We did not pass :(

My questions are to all of you...

Do you guys think she'll deny whole file/AOS application? She'll cancel my husband's EAD? What will happen? What should we expect now?

As soon as we came out, we decided to change our address but I guess we have to wait till what she sends us in the mail?

Do you guys think my husband will be able to get GC ever?

    Please advise.

How do you know you didn't pass? The interview was yesterday.

I think you can have an appeal and do it over again, you most likely won't have to start all over.

IO did not stamp my husband's passport..that's why we are thinking we did not pass.

  7. Hello Everyone!!

Brief intro...I m US citizen and my husband is on F1 visa...we filed late January 08 and are scheduled for AOS interview on June 10, 08.

I am very nervous and confused..here is the problem

I filed from Chicago from my parents place and after couple of months moved out of state. I still kept my parents address on file with the purpose of not to delay the greencard procedure. I have job in this new state and our names on car insurance and all that proof that we live together are on different address than Chicago.

The only thing I have together on Chicago's address is our bank statement and last year tax return. When I filed, I had temp. job in chicago, which I used (I-864)to file our papers but i don't have that job anymore and have a job in new state.

    My questions are

Do I tell the officer that I moved out of state but using parents address as permanent address?

Which paystub should I take with me? my current job or the job I listed when i filed our papers?

Should I take my car insurance papers/utility bills from this new state? or my bank statement and tax return will be enough to provide proof?

What would be the best answer to convey an officer that why I didnt inform USCIS about my moving?

    PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

Also, if someone can guide me with what kind of questions they ask during interview, I would really appreciate.

    Thank you all in advance.
