  1. From the interview instructions it says: - Your husband or wife's evidence of United States Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status Then later - The originals and copies of each supporting document that you submitted with your application. Does this mean I need to bring the original citizenship certificate to the interview? Was a bit unclear.
  2. Yeah same insurance. Not added to lease I own my home outright. Cannot get driver's license here in puerto rico without social security. Looks like I will use medical insurance, joint credit card, and other insurance (umbrella, home) etc as proof. I'll start saving some of the mail that comes to her.
  3. yeah I do have medical insurance that's a good idea. I can bring that!
  4. Our finances are not comingled due to prenuptial agreement. Maybe I should bring that? we have a newborn baby together. also I live in Puerto Rico where banks won’t even let me add her without a social security number so even if I wanted to comingle I cant
  5. We have our i-485 interview scheduled. A few questions for the group: 1. How important are things like joint assets (bank accounts, etc)? Our assets are all separate. We were thinking of just bringing photos of our relationship as proof of bona fide relationship. 2. How likely is it that we get approved on the spot, versus having to wait? Our wait estimate is 8 months but it would be amazing to get approved on the spot in a month and a half! Thanks!
  6. My wife’s i-485 application is estimated to take 10 months. Is it worth filing an i-131 now to get a travel permit sooner? Or just wait for the green card?
