I filed the I-751 application at the Vermont Service Center and a few days later I received the extension letter. Unfortunately my last name was mispelled. Only one letter is wrong, so e.g. instead of Smicker, it's Smicher. My husband's name (same last name) also appears on the letter because he paid the fee with a personal check and for some reason they list the name of the person whose check they cashed. There the name is spelled right. I just received the invitation for the biometrics appointment in 3 weeks (the name is still mispelled) and am not sure what to do.
- Should I just go there and maybe they are able to change that mistake right then and there?
- Do I need to do this in writing and send a request to Vermont so they will change it? Should I reschedule the biometrics appointment?
- Should I get an infopass appointment before the biometrics appt. and see if they could change it there?
