how did u get ur interview date? I thought they only schedule interviews the second week of each month.

What is the difference between Inadmissability and Excludability? My husband was brought here illegal when he was 8 months old and he is now 23 yrs old and has to file a waiver. So is it Inadmissability or Excludability?

What happens from here? Can my husband go do the medical whenever he wants as long as it is before the interview? Is there anything that we have to pay? Isn't there a fee that has to be paid and the receipt taken to the interview? Please give me some inside on what is to come I thought I was ready but all of a sudden feel lost.

Our case is complete. They received my last packet on 7/16 and it was put in their system 7/17 and completed yesterday. YAY!!!!! One step closer to being with my husband. I am so happy. We miss him so much.

Yep I understand. Mine was enetered right away the day after they received it. I bet someone missed placed your file and they are just now getting it going. You should have your interview date by now. Well I am very sorry about that but I bet you anything it was just sitting aside somewhere all this time.

But when was your DS-230 originality entered into NVC system?? My was on June 23, then it changed to July 17. This is why I am confused

I had my DS-230 put in the system on 7/17 same as you and I have the same exact message on the auto response as you do. So if they are waiting on a "qualifying date" then maybe that is the same for me. I hope we find out what that means.

Hey everyone....So I am sooo confused!!

First I called NVC on Friday morning to see what was the status of our case, then the NVC operator told me that they had found my file (They didn't tell me it was lost all this time I was calling, all they said was that it was being reviewed) and then she told me it was send for review on 7/17 and that she would put a note to a supervisor because it was already suppose to be in review ok I accepted that as positive news and hang up. Then the Curious bee that I am, I called on Saturday to NVC Automatic phone service to see if the status of my case had been updated or change and it said that "NVC has Received your checklist on July 17", what the HECK!?!?!?! They received it on June 23

So then early this morning I woke up determined to talk to a supervisor. When I finally got through the NVC Operator told me that they had received all the required documentation and that they were just waiting for a "QUALIFYING DATE" to set up interview date. So I asked her what about the automatic phone system saying they received it on July 17, she just kept telling that they had to wait for "Qualifying Date". What does this mean??? I asked her if it means "CASE COMPLETE" ??? And she said no, once they get "Qualifying Date" then the automatic phone system will know to update to "Case Complete"....... Huh... So then I asked to speak to supervisor to clarify this status and she told me that one was not available and too call back end of this week to check status again So my confusion is when did the system change? confused!!! Just wonder if this has happen to anyone else, or what do you think it means... I am biting my nails trying to figure it out!?!?!?

Some reps say that for some reason. When I called they gave it to me right away. Keep calling back until you get it.

i called to twice today to get the IIN # and both reps told me 'that system is currently not available' how else can i get the IIN #. ?

I put unkown in the blank for fathers DOB becuase we dont know my husbands fathers DOB and no one can remember and we dont kow where he is. So I guess we will get an RFE. =( ####### that sucks.

hello on the ds-230 #16 (date of birth for father) and current address, well my father in law passed away in 2004 and the only thing i have for him is the death cert. i do not have birth cert (cuz back in the days i guess he figured he didnt need one) so what do i put in just the year of death? or N/A or None...cuz i would hate to get a RFE on that..

Deceased field must be yes and enter date of death.

You need to enter date of birth too, if not known fill in an approximate date over there. Blank or NONE would trigger RFE. Nobody at interview is going to ask parents' birth certificates...

The NVC received my last packet on Wed and they updated their system saying that they have received all paperwork to allow time for review. My question is how long after the receive everything will the case say complete? I cant believe it only took them 1 day to get it in the system. WAY TO GO NVC!!!

Do we need to take some forms to the medical? Will we be mailed some forms to take? Or do we just show up with our appointment letter and money and they will give us the required paperwork once the exam is complete? Sorry I am just clue less about the medical and I am sending in my husbands last packet so I am wanting to know more about it since we are not far away from that.

DO the police certificates need to be translated into english?

We did not get one from the Passport office just the Police Station. Is this ok?

My husbands interview will be in Juarez Mexico. Do I need to send a PCC for him or are the police certificates good enough?

Thank you both so much, I have sent it. Okay the DS-3032 has been sent via email and the $70 and $400 has been paid. I will have to redo the I864 and still send off the DS-230 once I receive the barcode when it says PAID on the WEB SIte. How much time until my case is complete? Any guesses? Sorry I am just so ready to get an interview date for my husband.

I am about to send my husbands DS3032 Choice of Agent via email and wanted to know exactly what to put in the email. Also, long story but the $70 fee was paid a long time ago and their website shows paid, how do I print off the barcode sheet now to continue with the process? I dont have thast sheet as it was done a long time ago and we are just continuing the case? The website doesnt give me an option to go in and print a recepit I guess that has to be done at the time of payment. Please advise any help.

I got my ds3032 confirmation email and also my AOS fee bill show as PAID online, but I still don't see they invoice my IV fee bill yet. I haven't mail in my AOS package yet. And my question is will they hold up on invoicing my IV fee bill until they receive my AOS package? Or the AOS package doesn't affect they invoice me my IV Fee bill?

I am Canadian citizen also sponsored for US green card through my father.

My father is American green card holder. I am getting married with US citizen. Marriage will take place in Toronto Ontario Canada. Then we are looking to apply for CR-1.

Back in 2005 I was trying to get my husbands visa and he was in the US. Well we did not continue the process and now are trying to finish it off. Well they have his status as trying to adjust in the US so they told me to send a letter stating that we want him to have his interview in Juarez and to proceed with his case. That letter was received by NVC on Friday the 13th via overnight FEd EX. I called this morning and of course the system hasnt been updated and I was told to call back at the end of the week and it should be updated.

Has anyone had to send a letter to NVC to change something on their case? If so how long did it take to change the case and proceed to the next step. I am so ready to get an interview date. Please help.

You can absolutely send it yourself. I did it for my husband. Just make sure you include all the necessary information.

My husband does not have access the the internet in Mexico where he is. Would anyone really know if I sent the email for choice of agent for him? Let me know your thoughts.

If I sent the choice of Agent form via email for my husband would they know? I mean it would be done via email how would they know who did it? Where he is in MX there is no internet unless he goes far. Please advise your thoughts.

It has been exactly 21 days and NVC still has not received my case number. I feel like my case takes longer in every way possible. I am seeing everyone around me move right along but I am always left waiting in the dark. It is so frustrating.

Good point. I remember seeing a post that mentioned about the updates

on NVC's automated system, which indicated updates are done on Tuesdays.

I think you guys in the states are on Wednesday as well, so today would

be an opportune time to check the automated system.

How do u send your choice of agent form on line? And what address do u send it too?

I just called NVC and talked to an agent that said online payments are not accepted at this time??

Everyone, how do you get a passport office police certificate? Would my husband have to go to his passport office there in Mexico and ask for that? What would he need? He has a certificate from his state in Mexico stating he has no record is that not good enough?
