Hello My wife, a U.S. citizen, wants to bring her mother to the U.S. She is filling out the I-864, and I, as the spouse, am filling out the I-864A as a household member. We file taxes jointly, but we don’t have enough funds, so we need a joint sponsor—my mother, who lives with us. My question is, which form should my mom file, I-864 or the I-864A? Thank you
